Great venue with remarkable history. The Rolling Stones played here!! Look out for the Control Records evening every month as you can catch some absolutely amazing local bands!
Great music. However, ladies beware as the ratio is 1 women per 15 men. For real! Did not feel safe as the men are very desperate and are just staring at all the women present in the venue, they even followed us to the smoking area... Wish didn't pay 10£ to get in, absolutely not worth it. 10£ to get harassed? No thank you. Staff was great and very friendly, however women have to be aware of what they are getting into before they get in.
Get music and vibe on a Saturday night. Bit pricey admission for a small venueFood: 3/5
Place with the own history, nice atmosphere, good music ,perfect place to dance and relax.Service: 5/5
We been yesterday in this club and it’s horrible .. the music and sound system was cool but it’s really not safe for the women guys are horrible they forcefully touch the women .. it’s our first time here and sadly we will never go back again .. it’s so dangerous for girls here and lack of bouncers and security guards we cannot complain to anyone ! It’s the duty of them to protect women . I won’t recommended for anyone here . Girls be safe !
They are literally scammers.. when I wanted to go in they asked me for £10 in cash and I paid and after half an hour I came out for an urgent phone call when I wanted to go back in they were very disrespectful They asked me for another 10 pounds in cash and I said that I paid in full and they refused very disrespectfully and said don't argue with me and called security... I don't recommend this rat hole to anyone.
Very dodgy !! Asked for cash only no card. Wouldn’t let us pay entrance with card I mean it’s 2023 hardly anyone uses cash these days you seriously have no card readers in a nightclub. I dunno if the bar takes card as could hardly get in to buy a drink after the rude security tell my group it’s cash only and they also doubled the entrance at the reception/ cloak room lady on desk extremely rude! Also this place stinks of vomit in the stairways and main door area.
As a regular tourist I visited this bar to know about the place where legends of rock used to meet. However, what I found was a cover to be paid at the entrance of £10, then a completely disrespectful woman who works at the wardrobe who I asked for to take me a picture what she refused and I understand. However, immediately, she called the security guy and told him that I have been rude to her. As I don't like this kind of situations immediately I left this hole... Avoid it at any circumstances. There are many different places to enjoy that this place...
Scammers asking for cash doubling the price at entrance. Avoid at night. We were a group of 10 and we were recommended the bar because it closes late. We were expecting an entry fee but as soon as we arrived the entrance was doubled and asked in cash and doubled, very dodgy. Then the reception went inside to "asked" and came with a new price. That really put me off, as we were willing to spend good money at the bar and the night was still young. Completely disappointed and I don't recommend to anyone who doesn't want to be tricked.
This club made me feel really uncomfortable as a woman. they said I couldn’t wear a football shirt. So I did up my jacket to conceal this and then they suggested I’d need to remove my shirt. Clearly I did not feel comfortable removing my shirt in front of the five male bouncers present. Avoid this club.
