Great, chilled vibe and amazing food at decent prices! Got the big cow grill and everything was delicious, especially the lamb chops, kebabs and masala fish!
This place was beyond incredible!!! We ordered the Red cow Mixed Grill and the selection of food was phenomenal. The flavours of each of the foods was distinct and delicious.nThe service was extremely friendly and everyone who worked there was brilliant.nI highly suggest booking a table beforehand on the weekend because we went the night before and it was packed.nOverall, I highly suggest this restaurant for a an incredible meal and a fun time!!!
We have been visiting this place since 2018.nThe place to go for mixed grills. But what has happened recently with the quality?nOur last visit 01/01/2024, there was definitely something wrong with the normal quality.nThe food was unfortunately both bland and tasted off.nThis is not normal for this establishment.nMy dining guests who consumed this complained of upset stomach issues red meat and poultry.nThe seafood which I ate was definitely not good and tasted bad/off.nVery disappointing, possibly we had a bad batch or dare we say re-heated food?nDon’t think we will return which is a great shame.
Ordered a takeaway from here recently and it was honestly the worst curries I’ve ever eaten!nnHad a meal delivered from here about 12 months ago and was fantastic. I don’t know what’s gone on since but it was like ordering from a completely different place!!nnWe had chicken balti and a chicken tikka masala. I’m not sure if chef dropped the salt shaker by accident but wow it took about 3l of water after to stop the dry mouth.nnThe chicken was like rubber, at one point my partner was questioning if I’d tried to be a cheapskate and microwaved an Asda curry it was that had.nnThe rice was ok.. heads up though the pilau rice is Matar Pulao for white people it contains peas.nnNaan bread was standard, and had better from a 3 for £1 shop up cape.nnWe also had some chips, which I’m not sure if the driver had a munch on in his journey. As you only get half a bag!nnDefinitely wouldn’t recommend going and we won’t be going back ever again! There’s much better places about and think they just survive on a past reputation of doing good grills.
Went on a Thursday evening to the Red cow. Thought the worst as there was 1 table occupied by diners. How wrong we were!nWe went for the ‘fat cow’ chilli chips, masala chips, lollipop chicken, chilli lollipops and 3 naans. We asked for the chips and naans to be upgraded on the fat cow as it only comes with plain but it was lost in translation so we got 3 plain naans and 2 chips additional to what we wanted.nThe fat cow grill itself was sensational. Lamb chops - great taste, perfect amount of charring. All the chicken was juicy and full of flavour. Fish pakora - nice light batter, lots of meaty fish.nThe chilli chips were unreal, so so good! Definitely recommend them with the chilli lollipops. Certainly no scrimping on the portions! The only slight criticism is the grill wasn’t sizzling when it came out but it was on a oven tray as it was so big! It says on the menu it serves 8-10, there was 5 of us and we were all stuffed.nWould definitely go back, be great to go when it’s busy. One of the best mixed grills we’ve all had, up there with Champys, new hen and chickens etc.nnUpdate… we went back for our Xmas mixy, again quiet inside in the dining area but the mixy was first class. Had the £42 fat cow again. Was 6 of us, with 2 cobras to top it off we were all stuffed. The chilli chips and chilli lollipop are a must. Chips are battered and covered in chilli sauce…. Unbeatable!nFootball was on prime too! Thanks red cow for rounding off this year with a class mixy!
