Food was good  but the service needs to improve. A very rude waiter didn't like me questioning whether he served me tap water or sparkling. If it was sparkling as he suggested it has no sparkle! I have never been talked to in a restaurant in this manner. I was shocked.

Lovely selection of classic curry dishes; was expecting the vindaloo to be a little hotter but with the banquet deal and the amazing tandoori mixed grill the food us excellent.

I and a friend of mine went to Red Chili last week, and we have been going on an off for a very long-time, in fact all the staff know us personally.

We entered the restaurant and noticed, they were not busy and there were lots of tables unoccupied, we also looked up and noticed several staff who noticed we had entered but chose not to make eye contact, with us. We assumed they were busy and we walked to a free table, once we sat down the owner came to us and said “It would have been nice to be asked” we asked what do you mean? He told us in a very abrupt and rude manor “You should ask me before you sit down” We said we waiting you, and your staff completely ignored us, and given we are regular’s it would be fine to sit down at a tale especially given it was a Saturday night and you were not busy at all. We went on to tell him we have been coming here for a very long time, he did not care and was in a foul mood, and we went on to say even if we did ask you probably would have shown us the same table.

He told us to get out and we said, it’s a shame this is not very good customer service, and this is how you lose customers. Anyway, we got into a heated debate in the presence and hearing of other guests/customers and we got the impression they were with us on this one!

Real shame, just unbelievable outburst over something very trivial, the morale of the story, leave and find a better Indian restaurant and we did just 20 meters away called Papa J’s 😊

And the owner, if your reading this…. Then you should take note, that the free curtesy drinks you serve after the main meal should be thrown away, NOT recycled in to the bottle again for some other unsuspecting customer. I think this is defined as assault and I am very sure not only the Police but Luton Council would be very interested too!  

Don't accept the free curtesy, you have been warned !!!!
