Fantastic venue. A group of us recently rented the house and cottage for a stag-do and enjoyed every minute. The views are first rate and there are countless cosy corners and well thought out spaces, both indoor and out. Great games room too. Would definitely recommend.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed here over New Year with friends and family. It's a lovely house and cottage and the location is ideal for a walk down to the beach. The "party room" was a massive hit for us. Would recommend.
Amazing place and views and nature! We absolutely loved it! We stayed in the hot tub and watched falling stars, what more can you ask for ?! Clean and tidy, every room has its own personality . The comunication with the owner was very smooth and everywhere in the house there were instructions for the utilities Definitely a magic place to visit !
Brilliant and very quirky properties. Lots to do inside when the weather is inclement. Walk to Newport requires walking along a buisy main road without pavement. The grounds are lovely with incredible views.
I booked The Old Rectory, Newport to run a yoga retreat. It was fantastic, all of my guests were so impressed with the venue. We even had a walk down to the beach! The views, the gardens, the huge studio and not to mention the character! We will definitely be back again in the future. Highly recommend.Location: 5/5
Stayed here in September 2020. Lovely position and I would think when this was first let out it would be very nice. It is now tired and could do with some updating. The sheets on the bed had not been ironed, the towels could do with renewing. The oil boiler gave off a bad smell and we had to keep the utility room door closed at all times. There is plenty of cutlery crockery etc for a very large party and I think this would be more suited to stag/hen or school trips. Not very comfortable for a 3 generation family. The cleaning wasn't up to scratch although there was plenty of hand sanitiser and masks left out. The savings grace of this holiday let is the outside games room and hot tub. I don't like leaving a somewhat negative review but feel potential hirers should have plenty of information when staying in holiday lets.
A fantastic location and accommodation full of character — a perfect place for large groups of friends or extended family. We have watched in awe over the past few years as the gardens have been improved, as the new canolfan / meeting room has been refurbished and as the rooms have been brought up to a high standard. And a view to die for — looking straight down onto the glorious north Pembrokeshire coast. Top marks!
Such a cool set up in a 300 years old house. Gorgeous location overlooking the bay with spacious gardens and hot tub to make the most of it. Lots of toys for kids and books and games for adults. Facilities well set up with multiple BBQs and great kitchen. Ideal for big family get togethers and trips with groups of friends.
We had a brilliant yoga retreat here and everybody wanted to book in again for the next one. Wonderful yoga studio, 1 acre of garden full of flowers, sea view, privacy and beautiful accommodation for up to 26. Perfect!
One of my most favourite places in the world. First time I visited, the sun shone and I felt I had landed in paradise. Many visits later I have seen it in rain and mist, sun and storm, but it never fails to cast its magic. A wild ramble of a house that welcomes one and all! Actually very comfortable and civilised too!!
