Real authentic Chinese food, when served we were greeted by a gorgeous young lady who catered to our needs and she gave us a good introduction to Chinese cuisine and current affairs in the Chinese domain. The meal was stunningly prepared and felt like it been prepared by a distant family member with the love and passion of coming from a long trip to your first home cooked meal after months away. The restaurant has the most interesting selection of fish and marine life that I’ve seen in a restaurant in my 35 years of living, the fish were an array of species and this was a refreshing sight to see on my very brief wait for my food. Will be returning with my family and friends for another meal soon, I’m also planning to use them for my 10 year wedding anniversary party. Love to all the team.  Vegetarian options: Every option has a vegetarian alternative  Kid-friendliness: Very exciting for the kids  Parking: Walked in! Close proximity to all public transport  Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp there and ready to go  Dietary restrictions: None but they proceeded to check to make sure

Real China? More like fake china. Staff were kind and great but this was not worth £15 at all. I was absolutely appauled with this buffet. I went there with my friend expecting the food to taste immaculate however it tasted like absolute garbage. The chips were not even fried. They were cold and rubbery, there was no range in the deserts. Who would even want jaffacakes as a desert. I can go to sainsburys for that. The sweet and sour chicken didn't even taste like sweet and sour chicken.  No wonder they make you pay at the entrance. Normally at a buffet you pay after you have had your meal! The place wasn't clean and neither were the plates and cutlery cleaned properly either. This was not a buffet at all. No range in meals. Just noodles and egg fried rice. I did enjoy the egg fried rice however that was all. If you want real chinese food you are better off going to New East down the road  10 Harpsfield Broadway, Hatfield AL10 9TF. 10/10 chinese there. I will not be coming back to this shambles of a buffet ever again in my life. Hopefully the restaurant can read my review and drastically improve the range of food and desert so that other people can have a better experience there. 2 stars from me and that's me being generous!

Yesterday I placed an order and was given the wrong item at Real China takeaway on Lower Road. I’m confined to a wheelchair and was made to go back to exchange for correct order. I said to the guy who took the order Sweet and Sour Prawn Balls and was given a different sweet and sour dish. I’ve given them 1 star as they replaced with prawn balls. The woman was also incredibly arrogant and obnoxious while I was calm and pleasant.  Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access!

This is a standard poor quality British Chinese takeaway.  The chicken satay was disgusting with a weird rectangle of chicken material that was very stringy. The seasame prawn toast had no prawn flavour. The beef and black bean wasn't terrible but didn't taste of much.  I wouldn't order from here again.Food: 1/5

Once this would have been 4 stars, but after last night I'm bumping it down. I used to love Real China - delicious, hot food, great prices and portions. Then I noticed the portion sizes were smaller - but not a big deal, it was still enough to fill you up. And then over the last few months the quality of food has declined, sometimes with me wondering if they've been properly cooked. Then last night I ordered Monks Vegetables and boiled rice. The rice was hard and cold, clearly not cooked properly, something I've noticed that has happened the last few months when ordering. The Monks Vegetables were inedible. The sauce was thick, gloopy, slimey and tasteless. Usually it's mostly tofu and brocolli and cabbage, no no, this time it was full of those long, yellow, rectangular vegetables that taste of nothing and are just used to fill it up. I emailed asking for a refund, only for these items and not the other I ordered, and have been ignored. Considering I was within my rights to ask for many refunds recently, giving the decline in quality of the food, the least they could do is answer me.  So this lack of care for their customers is why I've lowered my rating and why I won't be ordering from them again.

This has to be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste. It was rice and water, with no flavour or sauce. Even the meat was green. Absolute waste of my money

Had a chinese from here a couple of times and can honestly say it is one of the best in the area. The food is absolutely delicious especially the chicken balls, they give great portions too. It is like they cook the food with love. If i had to be picky and find criticism it would be that it takes a bit of time getting here but that is probably because the food is cooked to perfection. Other restaraunts should take note.

Do not order from this restaurant, they have no concern for people’s dietary needs.  We ordered vegetarian options and received a dish with meat in it & the restaurant had no desire to put this right when it was highlighted. In fact the woman was down right dismissive and rude.

I downloaded the app and ordered thinking that this was the Real China on Trafalgar road Greenwich. When I arrived to collect, I realised my food was in Rotherhithe. They very kindly brought me the food to Greenwich despite the mistake being mine. Lovely people and good, fair priced food. Salt and pepper Prawns were sublime.

Food tasty, but today I received 10 chicken balls not 15 as it was on order
