An extremely mixed experience. We selected this place despite the reviews to take a risky chance at what we thought might be an interesting experience. It definitely was a bit odd. The food was fine, no real complaints. If I was given it blindfolded I would have said it was decent, good even. What made for an unsettling experience was the staff. I have been to restaurants where very mediocre food was made enjoyable purely because of the friendliness of the staff. However, this place unfortunately had mediocre food and a very very odd staff. To begin with, the man at the entrance was fine. However, once we got seated and started serving ourselves, there was another man who just kept loitering around the buffet area not really doing much besides casually stirring the food and standing idly by. The same man also began hoovering the floor while customers were still inside! When we asked for additional knives because we weren't given any, the waiter gave us one less than asked for and then left 15 minutes later! Odd.
Was pleasantly surprised by the level of choice offered. Chicken skewers particularly nice. Wasn't a fan of the duck as almost ground but there was a lot of variety at good temperatures. Good for the price.
Absolutely awful, we were apprehensive about going in due to all the negative reviews. We were pressured into checking out the food by the staff. At face value it seemed to look ok so we sat down. Sadly after this point any hopes of a good meal came to an end. I tried the crispy chili beef, sweat and sour chicken and spring rolls. The batter on the sweet and sour chicken tasted like flour and had no crunch. The spring rolls had a few shreds of carrot and mushed cabbage. The crispy chilly beef was soggy and dried out on the ends most likely from being left in the warmer for hours on end. Decided to also try some chicken wings which were totally over salted much like the other food. The duck tasted like cold bread crumbs which as you will see from the photo is also how it looked. Wish we had taken the other reviews more seriously and not wasted £25.
If you don't want to waste your £12 simply because its in the quays area, don't go eat out here. No variety of food. And you would not see beef at all. The only beef available is all covered in flower called salt and pepper beef... Nothing like beef in blackbean or such. .. The service to me is rated 30%.. Very dry food. Fruits are all canned processed fruits. No fresh salad. . Ketchup is very watering and kids didn't like it.. Cutleries are not consistent, they all look different. The rest of the food looks OK even though they were pork base. My son loved the noodles and the chicken in black bean sauce i liked that too... I won't waste £12 for this never again.. For a better service and taste Try this out.. 516 Bolton Rd, Pendlebury, Manchester M27 4DLook some pictures for you to see.
Probably one of the worst excuses for real China food. The chef is still looking for garlic and ginger. He only found grease, soy Sauce and cornflour. Cheap meat. No prawns or fish as advertised. Tinned fruit surrounded by plastic vegetables and fruit. Trays of biscuits and one cheap bucket of vanilla ice cream. Struggled to keep any good hot. Saving on electricity. Bland, bland, bland.
Come here if you are hungry and craving for asian cuisine. Reasonably priced. Staffs are very attentive. Student discounts available too!
Disappointed. Been several times previously and was great but wow what a difference a few months make. Food cold, reduced options and not great quality
The worst quality of the product. Imitation of fruits... plastic. Dirt in cutlery storage. Desserts from Lidl... not even desserts... biscuits... Flavourless food. Monosodium Glutamate in every dish... food colouring. Fruits from the can.
Really tasty, fresh food and a decent selection for vegetarians. Friendly, helpful staff too.
Pleasant. Lots of food. Not good with vegetarian options.
