Good food and service. Would not go to celebrate something special. But if just to eat it's delicious food. We had chicken / rib combo. Ribs was the best we have ever tried. Didn't like the coleslaw. Parking: Very small car park. If busy might be a problem to park.
The food was tasty - the burger was amazing, fries not so much. The service here was very disappointing. I kindly reminded one of the waitresses that she forgot something on my plate, she didn’t apologise nor seem to care. All of the servers were miserable - there was no atmosphere at all. We overheard them moaning about another customer to each other as well. We weren’t checked in on during our meal & it was hard to get their attention to order another drink. This one waitress who brought us the bill deliberately avoided us for ages when we were trying to get her attention for the card machine. Although their shirts said “welcome to the family”, we certainly didn’t feel welcome. I have never seen such poor service, we will not be returning. It was more like Karen’s diner than Zak’s diner. I would only advise visiting if you want to be greeted by a miserable atmosphere.
It was a last minute booking as we were travelling from far and wanted hearty food. Based on reviews we went to Zaks and OH MY GOD did they deliver. Wings are totally out of this world as well as blue cheese sauce. Great portions, fantastic flavours and very fresh. Ambiance is fabulous and very attentive and friendly team. Zaks need to branch out. TGIF will be finished if they do : Overall very positive experience Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is fabulous and plenty to choice
I love coming to Zak’s, ever since I was a little girl each year for my birthday! The food is incredible. I love the burgers and chips. Everyone is always so welcoming. They do the best lemon and lime drink!Food: 5/5
Delicious American style diner. Burgers are a must. Minor miscommunication over how 'well done' my partner wanted her burger prevents a top score. That aside, highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Have taken an awkward vegan friend and they approve of menu options
We didn't actually eat in. I ordered a takeaway. Staff very helpful and efficient. Didn't have to wait long. As a sunny evening we ate in our garden food was delicious as always. Burgers cooked to perfection together with curly fries and coleslaw .Best evening meal of the week.Food: 5/5
Food was okay, service was very poor. Food took ages to come; some of our table had finished their mains before the last main meal even arrived. The chicken meat was like dry weetabix. Whilst we were waiting ages for our food, we finished our drinks but were not offered any refills - we had to collar one of the staff who brought our mains. They then brought only half the drinks order, and we never got the rest. It wasn't even a busy time. Food was decent - standard American stuff, but they have a list of like 20 burgers on the menu, we ordered all different ones but they all arrived exactly the same! This is a shame because we'd been highly recommended this place. Nice decor and casual atmosphere though. Staff were friendly but absent.
Great place if you like American diner type food..... Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the generous plates of food were great. We really enjoyed our visit.... Parking: Not many parking spots.... if you can taxi I would suggest you do ..,
I don't live in Norwich anymore; I moved out of Norwich in late 2017, but when I did live here, me and my family always loved it. There was never a time when we didn't like it. However, the toilets were a pain, especially locking them; it was hard to unlock them again, and you really had to pull the toilet door hard to get out. If I visit Norwich again, I will definitely be coming back here.
Had a lovely dinner here as a double date. Service was certainly not up to the standard of the food unfortunately. Thankfully the food was delicious and we all enjoyed the meal. Very difficult to park too. We will visit again, as the food was excellent. Parking: Very small car park for the venue size
