Lovely little family run place. Their pizza is quite frankly some of the best take away pizza I've had. It's gotten to the point where my fat self ends up ordering 2 pizzas each time, pepperoni and Hawaiian. Eat two slices at once like a sandwich for the perfect union of salty, sweet greasy amazingness. Also they've got the old Pukka pie ads on the walls, love em.
Chips were not cooked properly but fish was okay and other items, they said they receive a lot of complaints when we were talking with them whilst waiting, maybe they should act on those complaints and resolve the issues, but friendly staff, couldn’t help us enough…
Decided to give this place a go after reading all the reviews, and was pleasantly surprised. Like many here, I agree the pizza was absolutely delish - quite possibly the best takeaway pizza we've had! I also ordered a doner meat and chips and was shocked by how generous the portion was. Can't speak for the fish, but the chips were crisp and lovely. This will be my go-to takeaway while in Faringdon. If you're on the fence, give it a go for sure.
Super yummy fish and chips can't fault whatsoever : will for sure use when next passing thru, well worth the time.
Good old traditional fish and chips - excellent portions, well cooked, fish outstanding. Online orders and local delivery available, but these folk are so pleasant that it's best to pop in and have your order ready in minutes. Recommended.
Terrible, a whole bottle of bbq sauce on my food, cold. Avoid!!
Worst fish and chips I have EVER had. All they have to do is cook 2 things but no they cannot manage it. Avoid like the plague you will be wasting your money as it's inedible.
Tried tonight after not being in 3 thought it may have changed.. Chewy fish and chips could hardly cut the batter it was that stale yet the middle was a soggy mess with dry fish in all it tasted about 2 days old!! Very disappointed cut down your menus size and focus on what needs improving..
On confronting the staff about their One Star reviews I was met with uncaring shrugs. They were miserable. I asked how long ago the fish had been cooked and was told 'half an hour'. I asked for fresh. It arrived ten minutes later complete with mandatory soggy batter. If you specialise in fish and chips then people should be lining up on a Saturday night. I was the only one in the shop. I asked them why they weren't busy and was met with the same shrugs. So by the time I left, the fish sitting in the heated display cabinet had aged another 15 minutes. The batter needed to be crispy and the chips should have been strong contenders for the 2020 Fish and Chip awards. Not here.
Haven't been in here in a long while after a succession of poor standard fish and chips. Decided to try it again tonight 13 sept 2017. Wish I hadn't! The chips are part cooked and taste of old oil. Fish was decidedly smelly, not off but old. Badly cooked outside edges of fish were crisp. The batter was foul & I couldn't eat it, I didn't eat much of it despite my hunger. Will definitely not return.
