What a Gem. Lovely restaurant with a lovely location. Décor represents the Forth Bridge and its history. Different seating areas for eating, chilling and outside sun moments. They offer GF options. We had a lovely breakfast and took a walk along the beach. Fair prices.
It’s a well located restaurant just in front of the beach and almost under the rail bridge, it has tables outside and inside to choose, well depends on the weather. At first I had a bad impression because the waitress told us that we need booking and they are fully booked however, I felt a bit discriminated because the way she looked at us, but as she saw we were 7 people she changed her mind and said oh we have an available table there, but I saw many empty tables and after us other people came and they didn’t asked for the booking. Apart of that, we didn’t wait too much to get served and enjoy the meals. The meals were well prepared and we enjoyed so much, it was very tasty and delicious. The prices are reasonable and the place is comfortable, good atmosphere. Good value for price. #therailbridgebristo #northqueesferry #bistro
lovely place , food was nice but didn't really get what i expected , asked for smoked salmon open sandwich but got vooked shredded salmon on a slice of toasted bread stick so had to swap with my sister who had egg mayo which was lovely . Soup and baked potato could have been warmer . Staff were lovely inside but gentleman outside was not very welcoming . So in all we were a bit disappointed . Vegetarian options: Good choice Parking: lots of parking accross tbe road Wheelchair accessibility: wheelchair access Dietary restrictions: asked if any dietary requirements
We had cheese and haggis toasties, chips and a cake. The toastie came with a lovely salad with dressing.Loads of chips. The treacle tart with cream was £7.50 which was a total rip off but toasties were brilliant. Service was really good and everything came at once including the coffee. The view from here is amazing.People sitting outside and there are heaters on the table. We had a lovely day out.
So went down to Railbridge Bistro on a Sunday 22nd Jan as we planned on having my mothers 80th birthday lunch at this venue. Looking at the menu online already I was disturbed by the “discretionary 10% tip added to all bills” why do places feel they have to intervene in matters that are not the venues concern. I came to realise why it’s added. The venue was busy and vibrant, pretty full at 3pm when it closed at 5pm. We got seated at 2:55. Nobody approached until after 3:10. it was not because the staff are busy, as 3 of the very young girls all stood next to the bar/counter chatting, playing with hair etc. when the girl approached I did say we have no drinks, she advised she would get them with food order. We ordered 2 mains and 2 drinks. The drinks came, quickly followed by the food. Easily within 10 mins. The server never asked if we needed anything else. From the moment we ordered to me asking for the bill. The only interaction from any staff was removing the plates and asking if we wanted desert. Zero interaction was given, no asking is everything ok with your meals, do you require more drinks, nothing. I would put this down to the staff being very young. Maybe not properly trained or lacking experience. So, as for the food. My mother had the small steak pie. The steak/stew tasted ok. But the gravy was so thin and watery you can see why the serve it in a bowl. Apart from the gravy it was a tasty and decent plate of food. I had the fish and chips. On the web site and in the venue they show everywhere that its Welch sea food. And I must say. It was probably the best bit of fish I’ve had outside of a great chip shop. Sadly, it was accompanied terrible chips, cheap frozen chips. How can you pair stunning fish with awful fries. It takes no time to make home made chips. When we got the bill, the girl did ask if we needed a card machine. I said no. we waited over 10 mins. No one came back to take payment. We noticed customers going to a part of the counter. So me and my 80 year old mother stood for 5 mins waiting to pay bill. If this was how it was meant to be done. Someone should have advised us. So very disappointed by the visit. A great venue let down by poor staff, some shady bits of food. They definitely charge enough for it. £16.95 for fish and chips with bad frozen chips. I will attached a couple pictures.
Nice restaurant with super views over the Firth of Forth and its bridges. However, food was just ok. Cullen skink was very heavy on cream when it's meant to be milk abd butter. Flavour was good but it was too thick. Sandwiches were not bad at all. Just a lot of mayo to be honest. We did enjoy the fish pie and the beef pie quite a lot tho.
Bustling, fabulous, clean, delicious bistro. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food super scrumptious. The beer quite good. Hot chocolate hit the spot. Definitely a must visit restaurant when you’re in Queensbridge.Recommended dishesCullen Skink, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Salad
Amazing dining experience a breathtaking view of the bridges. It's full of history and has a good feel to it. A bonus is to watch the Instore train. Lovely meals had my first time tasting Cullen skink. Wow how amazing it tasted worth a visit just for that
Tempura was very nice, along with the chicken and haggis, will defenitely visit again at some point! Plug sockets available at some tables so you can charge your phone :
Had a lovely Scottish breakfast here. Such a warm and welcoming cafe. Can’t wait to go back! I think we’ve found a local favourite.
