One of the few remaining Traditional pubs, situated in the heart of ‘old’ Carmarthen, the oldest market town in Wales.
Try a bowl of our Homemade Traditional Welsh Cawl warm to the bones a chilly day, and for the rare warm days we have a sunny beer garden, enclosed by the flower covered walls of the stables for the original coaching inn dating back to 17th Century, overlooked by the ruins of the keep of the Norman Castle.
A large variety of food is to be found on our bar menu, we’d like to think that our well priced generous portions are what keeps our customers coming back lunchtime after lunchtime! With meals served until 6pm pop in and choose from our ‘2 meal for £10’ it’s so great we’ve never needed to change it!
Enjoy a pint of traditional hand pulled real ales, highly recommended by our local ‘CAMRA’ members. We have featured in “The Good Beer Guide’ for so many years we can’t fit all the stickers on the window.
We also host monthly Poems and Pints events in conjunction with Write 4 Word
Dogs Welcome.
