Great facility with library, gym, hall and play area. Booking for events is great and affordable. We run pottery classes and the staff are really helpful and accommodating!
We have been to a few concerts here over the last few years and it is a really good music venue. The seating stand was taken away for the most recent concert and it freed up alot of standing space. Staff friendly and helpful with toilets just around the corner from main hall. The hall is a 2-minute walk from the small passenger CalMac ferry but do check service status as they can be unreliable at times.
I went here to watch David Hayman in a one man show called Time's Plague. It too place just on one night then moved venue. The Queen's Hall is a busy place with lots of things going on in different areas. I am not sure just what as I was on holiday and simply went to see this play.nIt was in a large room, with wooden floor and stage, but the play took place in front of the stage not on it.nThe seating was simple plastic chairs, like in a doctors waiting room. There was only about 60 people in the audience. There was a bar, just outside this room, where you could purchase an alcoholic drink or soft drink. The tickets were only £15.nComfortable enough and entertaining.
The facilities are great,l, the food is great, and the coffee is great. But, the staff even better! I work from the QH most days as a home based worker, and the staff are incredibly friendly and can't do enough to make sure you are welcome and enjoy your time in the facilities.
My two year old LOVES the soft play here. The library is amazing and the staff are always so lovely. The only downside is that there isn't a cafe anymore.
