Since becoming a member, I have found myself here at all hours of the day; to relax and have a drink, to watch a game, to tie one on with some buds on the weekend. I’ve had meals, taken work calls, and had meetings here. And in between this, I’ve enjoyed perusing the museum quality art collection and flipping through the records and books. Thankful to be able to have something like this in our city.
Operational disaster. High staff turnover; unfriendly policies 24 hour dining cancellation-really?; dismissive administrative staff; mediocre food and wine quality; purely a “see and be seen” vs the “substance” so heavily leaned on as branding. Shadow of its former self with regard to elegance, quality and a meaningful member community. Disappointed with the missed opportunity for a Boston club to meet NY or London standards, however gorgeous the space.
A lot of fun meeting so many brilliant & interesting minds at the TEDxBoston reception last month! Bondo is a stunning venue and Chef Tu Top Chef who was one of the speakers was definitely a highlight of the evening with his savory culinary artistry. ‍ Parking as with any venue in Boston is a challenge and ride share / public transit is best. Green-line is a 10 min walk.
Lemme tell you about the Quin, I worked here for 1.5yr so just about open to now. You will be patronized and talked down to by management and guests alike. Because you have 6 managers directly above you whenever a mistake is made all 6 of those people will come down to make it known you’ve made a mistake. Also staff is so incredibly unhappy, everyone doesn’t want to be there probably bc they’ve gotten patronized by 6 different people before 10am. They preach diversity but most of my management is white men or women. They also love to say it’s where the old meets the new but don’t embrace any new things, no colored hair, piercings, or colorful nails.
On a daily basis, parking at the Quinn reflects a complete lack of regard for public safety and for the needs of those living on Commonwealth Ave. Cars are double parked down the full block leaving westbound Commonwealth Ave a single lane. This is a serious accident waiting to happen.
Hopefully this gets to the management. Your valet service is going to cause an accident or someone is going to get hit. Valets standing in the street with no reflective vests, double parking cars without the lights on at night. I’m writing this because the other night a valet and a group of your guests walked from in front of a double parked car into traffic forcing some minivan over the curb and into the center of Comm Ave. Your valet is complacent and it’ll be bad.
An experience in art and pop culture. I am grateful to be a guest. Food and service first rate.
Came as a guest for dinner at the restaurant on the first floor and everything was amazing! I’m a picky eater and everything was so good. Staff was friendly and service was excellent. I hope to get invited again on our next visit.
Excellent space reinventing the idea of a membership club in Boston. The historic McKim Mead & White building has been beautifully restored and modernized with fantastic decor by Ken Fulk. The result is a feeling of eclectic and interesting luxury and comfort. Exceptional art collection. The multiple restaurants offer high caliber dining and the Japanese restaurant -- Bondo -- in particular -- is excellent. Great place to meet friends, relax, etc. Staff is also great. Friendly & professional.
Extremely welcoming place, everyone is working so hard in this place. Great food and even better people. Great diversity and attention to detail is second to none.
