Room very basic and a bit small room 2. Could do with a freshen up. Clean and reasonably comfortable.nMade very welcome, friendly staff with a sense of humour.nFood was good and well presented. Cask ales were well presented.
We arrived on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy but we were able to find a table. We were warned on arrival that there may be a wait for food. The young waitress took our order just minutes after we sat down and in no time at all we were served our meals by the friendly attentive staff. The food was delicious and we all had a lovely meal. We will definitely be returning again and I'd certainly recommend this place to friends.
Really enjoyed our evening at the Prince of Wales. Have lived in the area for years, but for some reason have never been. Tonight we were amazed. Great food, nice atmosphere and no screaming diners it IS Friday night after all. The service was way above what we had expected. Jade, Taz and Rhian worked as a great team. Attentive and very pleasant - nothing too much trouble. Hats off to them. Would highly recommend this for an evening meal.
Decided to pop in for lunch, ordered a drink and sat at a table after the barmaid said I could sit anywhere as the place was empty. After waiting 40 mins for someone to take my lunch order decided to go elsewhere, seems the barmaid was too interested in her phone than waiting on customers. Now aware of why this place was empty during lunch.
Been in a few times for a few drinks and sat outside in the garden. Friendly welcoming pub. I actually had a toddler emergency one afternoon, who needed the toilet, and the gentlemen behind the bar was very accommodating and let us just pop in to use the toilet. Thank you.
