The mains were really poor. We were served gone off fish which smelt rancid, overcooked gammon, roast carrots that were coated with dirt. Shocking end to a bank holiday, would avoid if your friend recommends it.Rooms: 2/5
Fantastic pub, great atmosphere and really good food. Really enjoyed their comedy night Food & drinks: Great pub, always stop off for a coffee on our cycle route. We've also really enjoyed brunch, and Sunday lunch on occasion.
Today was our Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary. We decided that rather than go to anywhere we had been before, we would try somewhere new. My wife found and booked the Potter's Arms. It was out of our area and we decided we could have a little trip out. It was a great choice. On arrival we were met by a young lady named Lauren who showed us to our reserved table. That's when life started to get difficult - what to choose from the menu? There were so many choices it was difficult to decide, but I can assure you that whatever you would have chosen, it would have been cooked to perfection. To start with I had Bubble and Squeak with poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. It was like a breakfast immediately before lunch! I followed that with a Steak and Ale pie, for which they kindly swapped the vegetables for me, leaving me with a main of my making. Full to the brim, I had to ask for dessert to be delayed a while. When I did finally feel able to go for it, it was delicious. I had poached pear in a star anise and red wine sugar syrup. It was a great trip to somewhere we had never been before and it was perfect. Lauren looked after us with a delightful "whatever you want" attitude. We have been, we have seen, we will return.
Recently attended a wake here for a friend's late mother; the pub made everyone very welcome and the food was absolutely excellent. The staff were polite and friendly, and the pub itself has plenty of character. The range of proper beer looked great but as I was driving back to Lincolnshire I unfortunately couldn't sample any beyond a pint of the IPA which was superb. Great to see a proper village pub providing such great service to their community
I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with my husband and friends last weekend at The Potters Arms. The food, service and pub were excellent, we all enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back at some point. Would definitely recommend.Service: 5/5
First visit to this pub. I will definitely be going back. Fabulous community establishment with village store B&B and great ale. It serves breakfast if you fancy popping in. The selection of food and quality is excellent. Just what a village needs.
Here for breakfast. Fabulous cooked breakfast, great friendly service. Would highly recommend.
This pub/b&b is out of town and may not suit some people. But to it's credit is beautiful and will suit those who want a nice quiet place to sit outside away from the never ending traffic chaos. The food is above average and a special note for the breakfast which was the best I have had in a while. Quirky but comfortable rooms and nice staff. I had a great time and will stay there again. Food & drinks: Great menu - well cooked food. Noteworthy details: The Breakfast
The staff are really friendly and it feels like you're sitting in your front room. Food is generous and packed with flavour I will definitely be coming back here for both a meal and for their comedy and music nights what a gem we seemed to have found, thank you Richard.Service: 5/5
Super friendly, cosy country pub with amazing food. In-house farm shop with local meat, veg, baked goods. A thoroughly lovely place to stop in for a meal. The rooms are nice and clean, and the full English breakfast was fantastic!Rooms: 5/5
