The Pomeroy Inn

Came for Sunday roast today. Greeted at the door with a warm welcome and beautiful smile. Shown to the table which was near a heater good choice Ordered the margarita cocktails, they were amazing, small critique- half the rim had salt other didn’t. Only minor thing. Ordered the starters, prawns and pate. Beautiful very well presented as you can see in photos. Tasted amazing. Main course 1 lamb 1 pork. Lamb was perfectly cooked and plenty on the plate. The pork was a good serving mini joint. Both tasted phenomenal the veg and the roasters and parsnip were bang on. And the Yorker, just what was needed. Deserts Eaton mess and crème brûlée. Wow I’ll just have lamb and brûlée next time it was amazing. We will deffo be back. Staff were friendly and actually wanted to work unlike most staff in the industry. Nice setting and good food. Service was friendly but a bit on the slow side. The order was also messed up a bit. We visited on a Sunday so it was very busy, but a Sunday on its own should not be an excuse or reason for slow service. Also was told at the door we must leave within 2 hours, even though we had a reservation. All in all it was good and would visit again.

The Ego is a nice restaurant located in Amersham. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. The space is excellent and well laid out. It has a nice bar and love drinks. Sorry, no food pics here- but the food was delicious and served in style. The interiors are in excellent taste and comfortable. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Loved the style with which the food was served.

We had a great time and the food was fantastic. It was me & my wife's anniversary and we loved the extra touch they did with putting roses and a candle on the table.

Delicious, freshly prepared food. The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked, as was the sirloin. Parking: Adequate parking

Loved it! Had another great meal on Saturday. Their menu choices are excellent & so nice that they actually cater for vegetarians as well as vegans, which is a rarity these days. A really nice place to relax & meet up with family & friends, good atmosphere & friendly staff.

Good selection on the menu and all our table's food was presented nicely and tasted great. Service was very good throughout our meal and staff were really friendly. Will definitely be going back.Food: 4/5

Great food, great staff. Atmosphere is difficult to rate because we were there for a work Christmas meal in the middle of the day, so it was pretty quiet. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but I can't say what it would be like at peak times.Food: 5/5
