Really fantastic food in a cosy setting. We were seated in thw bar area which in my view is nicer than the main section of the establishment. The food was really excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The sticky toffee pudding is worth going for alone. A good selection of drinks and all at relatively reasonable prices given the quality of the food. Definitely worth a drive to give this place a try.

Excellent food with a elegant yet relaxed feel in the restaurant. Lots of comfort food is available and the booths by the window are very homely.  Price matched the quality of the food and the staff were outstanding.  We had the beef cheek, chorizo pizza, scampi and open steak sandwich and couldn’t find a single complaint about any of them.

Good food, really lovely restaurant, cosy atmosphere. A bit disappointed with the stick toffee pudding, but it was the only let down.

Have to say the food was fabulous. The staff and the service was second to none. The waitress where really helpful and polite. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes steak and there triple cooked chips where heavenly.

Absolutely delicious roast beef dinner. And the sticky toffee pudding is simply to die for. Fantastic.

Absolutely fantastic meal, service, atmosphere... All for a reasonable cost. I had the roast beef with all the trimmings. Beef was beautifully pink and tender, crispy roasties, loads of different veggies all nicely cooked and crispy yorkshire pudds and gravy. Chocolate fondant was out of this world. Brian was an excellent waiter.. We will be back.

Great spot. Been a few times now and the food has been really good. Lovely atmosphere and nice bar area too. Staff have always been friendly and attentive. Will be heading back again no doubt.Food: 5/5

We’ve just had quite the best Christmas dinner we’ve ever had in the Poacher’s Pocket. I simply cannot fault the food! The staff are happy, helpful and friendly too. What a fantastic experience, thank you!

My wife and I had lunch here today. This was the first time we have visited and have to say we were boath very impressed. The food was beautiful and the staff were fantastic young girl with dark hair and a young tall guy with dark hair and  beard very friendly and a credit to the business.
