We stumbled along this place on our way on holiday, it was half way and we all needed food, drink and to stretch our legs, We had our dog with us and kids too so when we saw the lovely garden it looked perfect. Large car park too. On arrival we were greeted with a big smile and friendly welcome. The food was delicious, the kids played on the swings, the dog had a drink and all was right with the world. What a perfect way to start the holiday. We were very pleased to have found this gem.
Friendliest pub I've ever been to with amazing dishes that have beautiful presentation and are made from local ingredients - I especially loved the butchers bacon in my dish! Will definitely visit again!
Had lunch with daughter and husband. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food tastety and of good quality. I regularly have lunch there with a friend and it never fails to be a pleasant experience
A quaint little place off the main road to street. Sadly our experience was ruined due to misinformation. The food was wonderful and I truly enjoyed my meal, however my partner is gluten intolerant . There were plenty of gluten free options to choose from but we wanted to be rest assured it was definitely gluten free. The chef rest assured us it was gluten free and so we continued to enjoy our meals. When we returned home however, my partner experienced the worst gluten poisoning to date! We visited on monday and only Friday has she started to recover! I have no doubt the food she was served was indeed gluten free however, I feel the hosts need to be more careful considering cross contamination. It is obvious to me that the fryers were not free from gluten, likely used for the same as battered fish or other gluten contaminated food. It is easy to assume someone would be ok, but this could have killed her! A real shame as the food and host was lovely barring that. If the owners are reading this, please please please could you go over your gluten free practice. If you are visiting and are gluten intolerant, please be careful!
Went here with a friend as a place to meet for a an evening meal and a drink despite the fact that they were very busy with a couple of Christmas parties the chef who was working single-handedly was able to rustle up a delicious meal for us in a very timely manner we were both very impressed with the quality presentation and service together with a great atmosphere in lovely surroundings
A very friendly welcome by the landlady who appeared quite proud of her well presented bar. Draught beer and the way to improve serving was briefly talked about and a good pint came up from the cellar! Good food at a really good price too!
From when we walked through the door of Pipers Inn we were greeted by a lovely lady with a wonderful smile. We ordered our meal which was delicious . We weren't rushed at all.We were looking for B/B and the lady found us 2 telephone nos of local B/B s she was so helpful. We would recommend Pipers Inn to everyone. Marion and Ken Young
Had lovely family Sunday lunch, very reasonably priced staff very friendly. Highly recommended well worth the effort to visit.
The Waitress was pleasant and helpful, unfortunately the food was not so impressive my wife's fish pie was FULL of bones which really should have been spotted by the chef as it was home made. My wife's second meal took ages to arrive which meant we ate separately. Will not be returning.
Received a warm welcome, enjoyed good beer in a nice atmosphere, had dinner too which was very good, would recommend!
