Had a 10 minute wait until the fresh food was brought out, that's looking after your customers, well done. I'd rather wait 10 minutes for the fresh food than eat older food. The food is simply brilliant. Top marks all round.Food: 5/5
Got a bit of Glass in my meal tonight. Phoned the restaurant to highlight the issue to the manager. Manager went on the defensive right away. Firstly lied and said they dont have any Glass in the restaurant...not sure how the people sat at tables are drinking their wine and beer? Then offered me a refund to go away. When i tried to explain that if my meal had Glass then others could have too he became uninterested. Offered me another curry instead When again trying to highlight how could he guarantee no more glass would be in this new curry he became agitated. I explained this had hurt my mouth and my teeth especially to which the respone was see a doctor and I wont get my refund and proceeded to hang up on me. Reported to environmental health. Appointment made for dentist due to increasingly sore pain. Any dental work required will be billed through to the owner of pink turban. Could have resolved and dealt with me civil manner but guess not to be. Glass in images can be seen and can be described as toughened glass that you would find from a caserole cooking dish or something similar.
Excellent value amazing staff highly recommend this place plenty to choose from best chicken takeaway about Kid-friendliness: Very pleasant and have really good options for dessert and treats
We went on a Tuesday at lunchtime for the buffet lunch. It costs a mere £7.95 per person. It is well worth the money for unlimited food. The food was piping hot and freshly prepared. There was lots of it. Alcohol was not being served at that time but the sign outside said you can bring your own bottle. The staff were very attentive at bringing drinks and clearing plates. Nothing was too much trouble. They didn't smile and the atmosphere felt very flat or formal somehow. There are no table covers but the napkins are cloth. The main downside for me and why I did not give 5 stars is that there was only 1 vegan/vegetarian main dish of a vegetable curry on offer. This was very disappointing for an Indian restaurant. The only bread was naan non vegan : no roti or chapati. I heard a family lament there were no chips available. Due to the poor choice for vegans and vegetarians, I wouldn't rush back, especially as it was quite a drive to get there. If you eat meat and dairy and don't mind driving to a small town near Wishaw, then it's worth the money. The car park is tiny but there is some street parking on the busy road outside. The restaurant itself was very clean and well managed but lacks atmosphere. There's no real theme which is a shame, given the interesting name of the place. Perhaps the evening a la carte menu gives more vegan options. Definitely worth a try for great value for money.
First ever visit to the Pink Turban and certainly won’t be my last, from the warm welcome at the door from the friendly start with a fantastic can for attitude towards service and customer care. Nothing was too much trouble even the offer of off menu items if we didn’t see anything we liked. Food was fantastic fresh and piping hot with a fantastic selection on the buffet. Thank you so much for your hospitality and the fantastic meal
Food is tasty, unfortunately the service need major improvements. The order was placed online, after 30 minutes and 2 phone calls received a confirmation that is ready to pick up. Then, at the restaurant, noone even started to prepare the food and blame it on us, that their system didn't work. I will think twice before dinning their again
Rye me and my wife where in tonight as usual you and your staff provide a excellent experience your chicken dishes lovely your lamb bhoona delist will be back soon ronnie & carole love the place
Avoid if you can! What a horrible experience! I ordered food from their website, paid for it straight away. After 30 minutes I phoned to ask what is happening with the food as I, never received any confirmation. Firstly the woman told me to call her back as she doesn't know my order. After another phone call I was assured that the food is being prepared and will be ready for collection in 5 minutes. After arriving there 15 minutes later the staff didn't even know about my order. They didn't even start preparing the food. When I confronted the staff about it they said that they didn't receive my order and I should understand that. When I asked about the discount for all the mistakes that had been made, I was told I can cancel my order, as it is not their fault although, although I have been informed over the phone the food will be ready in 5 minutes. An absolute joke of the place.
The food is amazing but there is a woman who works in the restaurant who just walks around scowling at people. Her customer service needs to improve. I can easily ignore that though as we really enjoyed our buffet lunch. There was loads of options and everything was really fresh.
Absolutely LOVE a Pink Turban The owners are beyond friendly, when I took my partner in for her first meal there was a limited amount of options at the buffet for a vegetarian so we planned to just order from the menu. When the owner came to ask what was wrong he was delighted to have a vegetarian in and then chatted with my partner and asked exactly what types of curry she liked and then he went out the back and had two vegetarian curries made for her so she felt like she had more of the buffet experience. Really nice touch. We tried to tip extremely generously but were told not to be silly by the owner but we insisted as we'd really been treated well and he accepted. Speaking as a meat eater, I'm fine with the buffet. I eat enough chunks of tikka to kill a man. The ONLY negative is I believe it's family run? As in, some of the kids work there too? I know this must be hard as you don't always want to be working, and probably even less so if it's family... but the younger staff need to get better at hiding that. They looked like they'd sooner take a dip the the clyde than be there, that's a shame. One final tip, the delivery is great - one night we ordered and it must have been as they were closing as my chicken tikka starter must have been almost everything they had left. There was at least 12 huge chunks of the stuff. So to the owner... if that was you... thanks again!
