Wouldn’t allow me in claiming I was too drunk even though I was stone cold sober and had gone there too get drunk. Terrible treatment of patrons
"It's alright". I started coming here a few years back and the vibe, price of drinks and general atmosphere was real nice. However the past few times I've gone it's given me a reason to find somewhere else. The vibe feels rather uptight, the drinks are now over priced and the atmosphere is pretty lame. The bouncers are incredibly thorough which just spoils your night from the get go. I've got no problem being searched, but 3 times throughout the evening in 1 night took the piss.
This place is rank.. it smells like sweaty feet. Everything you touch has this weird sticky residue and on top of that it's £7 a pint. Could have had a night out in London for less and not felt like I need to take a bleach bath when I get home.
Been there couple times with fiancée and friends. I had no problem with bouncers or staff, quick as possible servicemaybe I'm too polite when I'm drink and not looking for troubles every weekend. Good choice of music and quite cheap alcohol for club like this.
Despite implying dental hygiene, this establishment plays host to individuals who haven't acknoledged the existance of their teeth since the 17th century. Still, music is sometimes the reason I have a soar neck in the morning.
Bouncers act like they're gods, causing people of crimes they didn't commit
Would not recommend this place to anyone cuz the bouncers are not nice people they tryed kicking my brother out and I asked then what's going on and then one grabbed me by the head pushed it in to a poll on the bar got a black eye from them bouncers ment to help not hurt there customers so if you do go to this club be warned thet this might happen to you I wouldent even give them a star but people should know what happend in this place if this how they treat there customers I'm suprised there still going if I'm honest just be careful
Pretty cool landmark if you are a huge Depeche Mode fan. They played their first show here in the 80's!
The staff that work here are this place’s biggest downfall. They are extremely rude and aggressive, which I’ve experienced first hand. After questioning the bar maid about the wrong drinks I received, I was then escorted out of the club and told to F*** off along with my friends who were also spoken to appallingly. It’s a common story to hear how the staff are completely out of order especially the manager. It’s also soo overpriced for the quality of a night out that it provides so I’d recommend you go somewhere else!!
I decided to take my cousins out in Rayleigh for a meal & drinks as it is my local area and they wanted to see what it was like. The night was perfect untill I decided to take them in here as we wasn't ready to end the night yet and this place is open the latest. On entry the security guards were very good. Checking most of their customers when entering. We had our bags searched and they were also using UV torches for drug searching. The price seemed good to get in and the lady behind the desk/cloakroom was very friendly and polite. Then as we walked into the club a very strong, strange, cheesy, stale type smell hit us like the traveler king going for a knock out I literally went straight to the bathroom and was heaving. Probably didn't help that they were also very dirty. The only thing I can compare them to is the festival toilets from 10 years ago before they started having toilet attendants to keep them clean! Hint, hint! The smoking area outside the club was small so there is no seating area. Everyone is crammed as they try to keep everyone in the designated area. Here is where I first noticed the security guards speaking quite rudely to their customers. Then again at the end of the night when they wanted everyone to leave. Most of them were polite but a few really have no customer service skills or the basic skills of talking to people with respect or treating them as a human being. Communications is not a skill that comes naturally to everyone. I can only guess that the few guards in particular assume that aggressive communication will gain them respect. All this does is make the receiver feel small, threatened or unsafe which we all know can cause all sorts of problems with a crowd of people who've been drinking They should be assertive but respectful.When you use assertive communications, the person that you are talking to will walk away feeling like you had their best interest in mind. In order to get respect you need to show respect. The DJ was a crowd pleaser and the bar staff were great. Getting to their customers quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining excellent customer service. The Pink Toothbrush has potential to improve.
