I enjoyed this experience but there was some slight issues that brought it down. We had to wait a while to get our menus but the food came quick once we ordered, the menu was very strict in way like you couldn’t get the cauliflower taken out of the carbonara, they also wouldn’t let you put salmon in the vegetable stir fry and the dessert menu only had Eton mess, crumble and ice cream. However it was one of the last days of the Christmas holidays so it was probably just busy. The service was good, even when someone asked for them to turn on the match on the TV they did it with no problems at all which was nice. The food was really delicious and it is a really nice pub in the area. I will probably be back, maybe in a not so busy time. Also I highly recommend the crumble.
Our first time to eat here , food was absolutely top notch !! The staff are lovely and friendly. We had a lovely lunch. And we will definitely be back ! Thanks to you all !
The food was very good, a couple of notches up to the general pub's grub. The service was excellent and attentive, plus they liked to interact a bit more than just asking if the food was ok. I do like to have a bit of craic with the people in a place.Food: 5/5
Dropped in for Sunday lunch with the family. Plenty to choose from the menu and the board. Service was great and the staff were very friendly. Very busy with a number of regulars comming back weekly for their Sunday lunch. Go on get down there and try it yourself.Food: 5/5
Dropped in for a couple of pints with family. Kids had food, it was perfect. My God the pint's of Guinness were atrocious. Switched to Heniken, they were even worse. Place wasn't even crazy busy. People shouldn't be let pull pints if they have no idea how to, especially considering the price of them.
Surprisingly varied and tasty evening dinner menu. We had [1] Roast Beef with steamed seasonal veg, and [2] Chicken & Chorizo Pasta, with beers to 'wash them down'! Lovely!
Clearly a friendly neighbourhood pub worth a visit. The ambience is friendly and welcoming, gives you this warm feeling when inside. The chef clearly put efforts to offer way above the typical pub food selection. While the classics are presented: there is also pork belly, yellow curry, wagyu burger. That fish and chips are great: super crispy with home made batter and plenty of melty, yet firm fish inside. They have wine for 24€ that is a good alternative on a cold day. The service is above the standard, very lucky to have Rachel that night.
