A dog hair on the cheese of my ploughmans. A replacement brought out and this dished up on a hot plate...............cold food on a hot plate. No attention from staff and with plate getting colder and eventually having to take the food/plate to the bar explaining I don't expect cold food to be dished up on a hot plate. A 3rd meal brought out to which I refused, not one person came to speak with me regarding this meal or the problems and by this time the rest of the group had almost finished their meals to get the reply of Jesus Christ as he walks away. Then a little later he comes into the room to the table opposite to ask if all ok and to tell them loud enough for our table to hear that he was in the bar enjoying his ploughmans. A dog hair on food, a hot plate, these were not the fault of the customer but of the establishment, treat your paying customers with a bit more respect, you have really let your establishment down as I was here in the day for coffee and cake and couldn't have been treated better and has been a regular favourite for the past few years but tonight your halo slipped. Big time.

Friendly helpful staff. Sunday lunch was really really nice and the extra thick slices of meat certainly helped😁

Always had a good meal here, desserts ARE homemade, meat is sourced by the father of the bar manager so is home reared or locally sourced
