Brilliant Fish and Chips (and peas if you want them)... I've been going there since the 1970s and taking friends from all over the country - and further afield. Despite that I live in SE London and know a great chippy at Waterloo.

Really tasty food: a group of 10 of us were all happy with the quality (mainly fish but other items too). The staff were really friendly and helpful. Not perfect - the price of a drink was ridiculous(I did coe down from N Yorks though so that might, unluckily, be normal for the south!

Great pub. We sat in the part with better views, the inner part has more charm. Food is good honest pub grub, large portions and superb quality. Certainly recommend this place to eat if visiting Dungeness. Efficiently run and friendly employees.

Beer garden and chips - sweet - been here quite a few times and each one not bad at all - fish fish and more fish - bloody lovely it is too

The Pilot is a very busy but otherwise excellent pub restaurant. The menu has a good variety of quality meals at a reasonable price for the generous portion sizes. In spite of how busy the restaurant gets, I have always found the waiting time for food to be reasonable. The staff are friendly and there's a good range of ales available. The facilities are clean and in good condition and the atmosphere is pleasant, with wooden decoration and paintings on the walls. I would recommend The Pilot but would advise on booking ahead though, as it can be difficult to find a table.
