Popped in here twice in past few weeks & really enjoyed it both times. Had a couple of drinks first visit then decided to grab some lunch second visit. Had the chicken burger & it was really tasty. Both times the young lady working here has been really friendly & welcoming. Some nice walks out this area & if you fancy a drink while there then definitely give this pub a try. I'll be back again soon, keep up the good work .
We sailed here from Southampton and this place was recommended to us by locals.nWe were pleased to find it very dog friendly as we have two.nThe food on the whole was very nice...... a great pizza, great beef burger, great chicken burger.nHowever, the plain Ceasar salad would have been very disappointing......n£9 for lettuce croutons and a few slivers of cheesenbut paying the extra for the chicken made it enjoyable.nOverall a very good experience with really friendly staff. And a nice atmosphere.
Arrived at this pub after a lovely coastal path walk, hot and tired and in need of a drink.nWhat a lovely pub it is. It was day of England's quarter final and we hadn't booked but staff were happy for us to sit at a reserved table until they arrived, which they didn't, so we ended up staying for food and to watch the game nThe beers are really good local brews, very tasty, and delicious fresh cooked pizza.nThe atmosphere was very welcoming, warm and friendly and this is credit to the lovely staff working there. Everyone of them was friendly, smiley and ensured everyone felt welcomed and comfortable.nThank you for a great evening
We had a one night stay during our coastal path charity hike.nThe cafe/ bar area has a great chilled out vibe. The bar team were fantastic, really approachable and helpful.nFood and drink were hood and reasonably priced.nThe room was well equipped, with extras in the hallway if needed. The beds were comfy, the bathroom extra spacious and we had everything we needed.nI didn't realise about the external shape of the building until we returned from the very nearby sandy beach. It's a great location.nI'd return to discover the area again. I'd also recommend The Pilot Boat Inn as a great place to eat, drink and stay.nThanks to George and the Team!
£100 / night including light breakfast seems to be at the budget-end for Isle of Wight.nnWe stayed in the ‘Port’ room, upstairs. Room and bathroom were compact, with a kettle and very small TV, no wardrobe. I wouldn’t recommend this room for anyone with large bags or a lot of gear. I believe the rooms vary in size and £.nnThere were hooks and hangers on the wall for a few items which is fine for a weekend. French doors allow fresh air.nnSimple breakfast - not cooked- suited us.nGeorge had great local recommendations for sightseeing.nnThe road adjacent is fairly busy. It didn’t keep me awake, but depends what you’re used to.nnDownstairs is a small restaurant and microbrewery. Good casual food and beer. Suggest you book as it’s a small dining space and the outdoor area doesn’t have a nice view.nnFood stops at 8.30pm and I’m not sure when the bar closes not late.nnWe didn’t spend that much time in Bembridge, but it was good value accommodation with the convenience of food onsite and a beach for walks nearby depends on tide.
