First time visiting here. Very friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, with a marquee put up for some shaded outdoor seating. Food was lovely. Burger was cooked perfectly. Nice sized portions. Didn't have to wait long. Dessert was spot on. Will definitely visit again.
We all had a very nice meal here recently, we found the food really good, hot and well presented. The staff very friendly and polite.Photos added so you can see for yourselves. We'll worth booking a table as it started to get busy even midweek. Will definitely use again.
Excellent pub, lovely food, staff were great. I've been going to the pub on a fairly regularly basis for years and was disappointed last Friday to find that the layout of the tables in the restaurant area had changed. There was no space. Particularly problematic if you are tall. The little bench seats are only suitable for a child or extremely small adult to sit on. The staff were excellent and moved us to a table in the bar. I'd normally have given 5 star but marked it down due to seating issues
Very nice set up with marquees for dining, got us in at very short notices . The desserts were excellent, but the main meals were overpriced, my Barnsley chop was £21 and was so small, also the service was very slow. My grand-daughter had scampi which was nice, and it came with chunky chips and garden peas, but at £14 was not good value.
We had a table booked yesterday for 6 people for the festive lunch and had travelled over an hour each to get there to find the place closed due to staff illness. They also had had a deposit from each of us. Now we know illness happens but no attempt had been made to contact us despite their having a contact phone number. Thanks to a young man working in the kitchen we were able to find some where else that could accommodate us. 4for young man in the kitchen 0 for the manager/ owner. Doubt we will think of going there again.
Booked a lunch in the private room for a small occasion, and it was perfect. Lovely room and plenty of space for 10 people. The food was delicious and staff great. And really useful to be able to pre order1 I'd highly recommend.
A lovely lunch here, good distancing measures in place. Very friendly and helpful staff who obviously care a great deal about their customers and each other - great teamwork in action. Very child friendly and some delicious choices on the menu were very much enjoyed at our table. We'll definitely be back. Thank you Team PP!
Wonderful afternoon for my mother's 90th birthday lunch. Food was delicious. Staff attentive and pleasant. Never been here before but will definitely return.
Truly terrible, Having visited before when the previous owner was in situ we were looking forward to a decent meal. Unfortunately what we were subjected to was unpalatable. coupled with the poor service, and the extremely Passive aggressive attitude of the manager we will definitely not be returning along with other diners. Shocking attitude and food, very sad to see the decline of what was once a half decent place to eat
Great welcome, they fitted us in at short notice, comprehensive menu and food delivered beautifully cooked and very hot too. Very pleasant decor and ambience. Thoroughly recommend.
