Absolutely smashing restaurant, a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it! The quality of the food and also the portion sizes make it value for money. The team are so so lovely and will happily go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience with them. I have dined here on numerous occasions, birthdays, anniversaries etc and the team always recognise this with a cake for the party to share! Special mention to our server Sasha who we had a good laugh with and was so chatty and friendly, will definitely be visiting again!
Liked the style of this like a traditional English pub. Decent menu and decent prices considering its near the airport. Service was easy the way it should be. Good facilities, WiFi, toilets, comfortable seating. They have also put real effort into outside seating which looks great. Really struggled between 4/5 star here but in the end it does exactly what it says honest bar lunch and obviously enjoyed by the locals as it was rather busy considering it was early afternoon always a good sign.
We gave this place a visit on a Sunday evening, unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open but the pub itself was. It was busy but they found us a high table in the gazebo section. The high chairs were wobbly and really quite uncomfortable so we moved, however because of the storm going on outside the gazebo was flapping around and water leaking from the roof! Not their fault as the storm was pretty bad and they did find us a table inside the pub after a bit. Really friendly staff The food itself was good, for the money portion size is very good - ideal if you’re a big eater. I had a homemade steak & ale pie, the other half had a lasagne. She ended up not being able to sleep properly that night as she was just too full up!! I was fine, however. The only real this I can knock it on was the state of the mens toilets. Urine everywhere!! Maybe it was a one off, but I’d of been better off in flippers ‍ Overall though a decent place to eat. Hopefully get to try the restaurant next time.
Stopped for a quick lunch. Can’t go wrong with pub food. Especially when they serve gluten free. Everyone is friendly, no dietary requirement is hard then to cater to. They have a good homely feeling so your always welcome. We had food in the pub but I have heard restaurant is top notch too. Parking is no issue.
Went here for a Christmas do a couple of years back, was impressed. Still incredibly impressed when I went back yesterday and had the death by meat aka the Mixed Grill - big portion, plus meats were cooked perfectly. Excellent pub with great food, worth a visit, but better to book ahead if you want to eat in the evening.
Great pub, easy self service and friendly atmosphere! The food was a huge portion and good for sharing. Pies are tasty!! The steak and ale one was delicious. A little more pricey than the usual pub, but I would say it's worth it. Above standard.
We had the pork ribs and steak sandwich which wasn't mind-blowing but very generous and arrived shortly after ordering. Value for money meal and drinks recommend the Belgian white beer in a warmly lit and bustling environment.. would come back and try something on the pricier menu. 4.5 starsFood: 4/5
Wonderful place for get-together and food. Food is amazingly delicious and well seasoned. Service is first class as well. You can choose from their restaurant or pub menu. Slightly on the pricier side but definitely worth it!
Came here for lunch waiting for our flight out of Heathrow and what a great pub! We were staying at the Holiday Inn by the Heathrow airport and this was a 15 minute walk from there. The options for expansive on the food menu with plenty of veg options. The fish and chips were great, not too heavy or fried and delicious! Plenty of beers on tap and good ones at that! We also got nachos and a baked potato, just like WAYYY too much food because the quantities were massive. Really enjoyed the outdoor tented seating, and the indoor section was also very nicely done. Overall an excellent pub!
Got the lamb and mint burger, not the best burger I’ve ever had, was quite dry. A decent meal and can’t go wrong with curly fries. Never really understood the hype with the food here but at least the beer glass was cool. Atmosphere is great but service is very slow. Vegetarian options: Was enough veggie options for my friend but could do with more. Parking: Very tight car park
