Lovely pub indoors and outdoors. A really nice place to come when the sun’s out. Not the largest food menu but still something for everyone.
It's such a lovely pub! Beautiful outside area! And you're right on the water! We had lunch and everyone is so friendly! The food was amazing! So yummy and really good portion sizes! I'm definitely coming back! Will be a Sunday next time as I've heard such good things about their Roasts! Thank you for being so good with my daughter!
Walk here from time to time along the river. Great place. Outdoor space is also really good in nice weather right beside the water. They allow well behaved dogs inside too which means we can bring the pooch. Food is good honest pub menu style. Portions are hearty and you get value for money. The loaded fries with veggie chilli is particularly good on a damp autumnal evening.
Service was good, not my ideal lunch menu but a panini was ok, but could have been hotter. Strange at lunch time to run out of London pride, ketchup and mayonnaise! Last visit and the London Pride was on! Had a burger, a little overcooked for me but quite tasty. Great service.
Lovely pub. Very happy with our visit on Sunday. We were a large group of friends with kids and I couldn't fault anything in terms of food delicious Sunday Roast or service. I would love to come again.
There were 16 of us in all who arrived as part of a canal walk. Despite sudden influx we were served speedily and cheerfully. Food was good pub fare and reasonably priced.
Came here in 2018 the food was ace and lovely location on the river one of my favourite memories with my son when he had the pelican b urger he asked me if they did any other burger because he had never had pelican before so funny still tease him to this day
Came here as we were in the area and wanted a pub style late lunch. This place did not disappoint! Although there was a large party which made it quite busy at the bar and with the food the staff were friendly and professional. We did have an issue regarding cocktails however this was sorted by one of the ladies behind the bar as soon as and when our food came out we were very impressed. Portion sizes were big and prices were reasonable. My sister had the lamb shank where the meat just slid off the bone and the pie of the day was beautifully cooked with plenty of gravy. Would definitely recommend anyone to come here, a beautiful place even in the winter. It's right next to the canal so I can imagine the beer garden in the summer being a lovely setting. Thank you for a lovely atmosphere and brilliant afternoon. :
My new local! We only moved here a few months ago and everyone at the pub has made us feel most welcome. Great beers, amazing food and good people make this a quality spot, unfortunately work being the curse of the drinking classes has meant I haven't been down for a few weeks but I'm working on working less so that we can. Whether you want to sit in the lovely garden by the canal, watch the football or just chill out with some great food and company then this should be on your list of top pubs.
Pleasant staff, nice location, ridiculously overpriced average pub grub. I know Surrey is expensive but I didn’t expect to pay Michelin Star prices for pub grub! £15.50 for a cheeseburger with bacon is total rip-off! I’ve had far better at Burger King
