I really loved the linen memorial, by Canadian artist Lycia Trouton, that exhibit touched me in ways that can only be described as poignant. I really hope it can come to North America, especially Montreal and Boston.
the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly!
Great little place with inspirational stories about people who had to fight for peace and their rights
This is an hidden gem of bradford as not many people remember this is here. There never was much advertising when this opened either. The museum goes back centuries with the history of england and shows clothing, food, machinery, etc over the years. The main theme though obviously is peace and it covers all the great wars and is interesting. It shows the weapons used, the ways we lived, etc.
I love the Peace museum, its so interesting. I always come out with a new book idea, and feel blessed that we have this place in Bradford. Some r sbulous exhibits, and the talks are excellent.
Opening times are very restrictive, but an excellent, small but thorough museum.
A small - but surprising museum, with limited room for displays But the space is used well with interesting exhibits. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Well worth a visit!
We visited this museum with pleasure! Historical values, so many different exhibits, the tour was amazing!
My daughter visited the Peace Museum with her school but she and most of her school friends found it to be boring. She was nine at the time of her visit so this place may be of more interest to adults or young adults
With all the military museums glorifying war this little gem deserves to be more widely known. Needs all the support it can get to relocate to a much bigger space.
