Lovely looking building inside and out in a beautiful picturesque area.nLots of glitches with the online menu and had to order at the bar, 4 out of 5 of us had to change our order as the app said these items where unavailable. It really is a beautiful building but aside from that overall we were pretty disappointed.
A splendid cinema conversion, one of the best Spoons to visit. Been here a couple of times 13+ years ago. Over several levels. There are lifts. I needed crampons and oxygen to reach the gents. Service is a bit slow but the patrons do not help. Despite Tim Martin preaching about bar etiqutte the tourists ? insist on forming snake like queues across the floor. They have a Cask Marque and a good real ale selection. Deric on a 5% Exeter brewery dark ale. Jorvic on pink gin and lemonade.
Tried this pub while in Llandudno on a coach trip. The building itself is amazing, being the old Palladium theatre. The chips and curry sauce were my highlight as they were top notch. Good atmosphere and service-highly recommended.
Went for dinner and breakfast. Burnt toast arrived with the breakfast, asked the waitress to swap the toast as it was very burnt. She seemed annoyed when asked if it could be swap. When it arrived, I said thank you very much and she rolled her eyes.nWent there the day before for dinner, ordered the gourmet burger and a Tikka masala. Tikka masala was okay, however burger was barely edible. Would not going there anymore. Rather pay a bit more and go elsewhere.
Popped in for some lunch. What a wonderful venue! Plenty of seating, plenty of busy staff.nOur food of a small all day brunch and sausage, mash, peas and onion gravy arrived quickly and it was piping hot. Sadly the fried egg was fully cooked and not a hint of funniness, but it was all delicious. Toilets were lovely and clean rooms. Great experience in the pub, will visit again
