Great place to come to do some local whisky and gin tasting. Came here from a cruise on a Sunday.nStaff are very nice. They went over their items. We decided to go the Whisky Flight. You get a nice description card you can keep with the 4 tastings. They were all very good. The 12 year had peat notes, but not overwhelming. Very good.nSeating inside. They have other non alcoholic beverages also Irn Brew, coffee. Very nice toilet facilities.
I love gin, and I adore these gins! I did a tasting and got four gins, mixers, dehydrated fruit garnishes, a thorough explanation of the gins, and then as much alone time as I needed to work my way through them. The Navy-strength was the star for me, and I took a bottle home!
Wonderful visit at the distillery, took the whiskey tour, very informative and great that this is a young distillery holding to the traditional manual whiskey making processes. Great products and very reasonably priced. Allanah hope I got her name right was wonderful and I highly recommend visiting here if you are coming to Kirkwall Orkney Scotland
Very striking new addition to the harbour which is definitely for the cruise crowds but has a lot for the casual tourist too , a small range of the distillery drinks on sale along with merch and some food which we never tried , bought some whisky and a tshirt and enjoyed browsing though the centre
This is the best gin tasting tour I have done. Great value for money; our tour guide was amazing - very friendly and very knowledgeable; interesting to see the scale of production surprised us. Well worth adding to any trip to Orkney x
