Hands down the best food I have eaten all year! Absolutely blown away by the flavours, variety of options and the set up of the venue. The decor is sophisticated whilst allow you to enjoy the outdoors from the safety of inside. Full page in the menu for Gluten Free as well as plant based meals. First resturant with many Gluten free desserts. The staff were so helpful. The food was pricey however best food 2022. The attention to detail really impressed me. From the personal welcome page in the menu to the plating of the food.
Wow gr8 food here the presentation and taste is immense. Full of flavours that combine perfectly. The atmosphere was perfect and relaxed, the staff were pleasant very formal and friendly. In overall great service. Food: 5/5
Absolutely amazing food and very friendly staff. Atmosphere was also spot on. Was the perfect location with the beach being just a few yards away to propose to my now fiancé as we caught the sunset in the rear garden
Really nice views and choice in the menu. One of the only restaurants into the area which has a separate veggie/vegan menu. I think I managed to pick the worst in the menu - tomato ragu with carrot spaghettiwhich was actually just cut up carrot.. the dish really didn't have much flavour and was completely different to what I pictured in my head spaghetti . Next time defineltly trying out something else from the veggie menu, as other options looked better! Skip the first choice
I live in West kilbride and honestly avoid this place like the plage. I have re-tried this place countless times with the same terrible experience. The staff - rude , confused and unacomedading The food - appoling ordered -Roast Rump Of Lamb with red pepper and olive tapenade, fresh asparagus, spiced aubergine puree, Provencal vegetables and potato crisp. This transalated to over cooked corner of lamb a raw potato and BAKED BEANS!! Next time afternoon tea with a gluten intolerance guest and they forgot made it very clear and the staff wrote it down. Seved us food with gluten. We noticed . The server didn't tell the kitchen. They replaced it and dropped it on our table with no appoligie. This is a shame as the afternoon tea is quiet nice. Went for drinks outside and was refused service at the bar we have to oder via the app this is not during covid btw but the rest of the table I was with ordered at the bar no problem. So this means uneducated / non organised staff. Booked a spa day that comes with afternoon tea paid for. Went to the restaurant to get my afternoon tea , got my name taken , staff had no idea was forced to show them receipt and was looked at like a theif. this was a $200 day out The resturant deamed a perfectly good massage worthless!! Note: hydro therapy staff are not at fault hear! They are lovely. Long story short this resturant is dragging the rest of the place down.
Great space to watch the waves roll in over a coffee, or have a cheeky Scottish breakfast and whisky on the weekend. Quite pricey the minute you touch the food, but the atmosphere is sublime.
The view is spectacular and food excellent, great value for money. It just lacks professionalism when the staff are standing about gossiping and consequently are inattentive and slow. But a comfortable good experience in delightful surroundings. Then a second visit confirmed. The food was good, brought low by the sheer numbers of inattentive staff standing in groups chattering away to each other and ignoring customers. Our table and the two next to us fought to catch the eye of any member of staff. Aside from the serving staff, there were more staff members in dark suits hiding in the corridor chatting to each other. I have never seen such an over staffed, inattentive restaurant. Hence the low satisfaction rating.
Visiting from Cheshire, we decided to find somewhere special for the last night and we luckily got a table at The Orangery based at the sea mill hydro hotel on the seafront Wow! From the second we arrived until we left we loved it. Amazing food! So much flavour and done to perfection, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and we eat out at least a couple of times a week Our sever Meredith was really friendly and chatty and made our visit perfect Starters Crab bruschetta Scallops Main Sea bass with tiger prawns and sourdough Salmon fillet Desert Cheeseboard Lemon posset Can’t wait for our next staycation this will definitely be on our list
Simply stunning food!Food: 5/5
What an amazing and creative menu. There were plenty of plant based options and the chef was willing to do as much as possible to make sure there was a gluten free option as well. There were even vegan menu items that were DELICIOUS! The Orangery is beautifully appointed with a lovely view. It was the highlight of our stay at the hotel. Vegetarian options: A whole page of the menu is dedicated to vegan and vegetarian options. Be sure to ask about the difference as they seem to use "plant based" to describe both vegan and veggie. So happy to have my choice of dairy free desserts! Parking: Plenty of on site parking Dietary restrictions: Vegan, veg and Gluten-free are all accommodated. I imagine you could ask the chef to help you through any other allergies as well. They had a very inclusive mindset with their food.
