What a fabulous cafe in the delightful village of Newcastleton.  Wendy who was serving in was brilliant and clearly born for front of house.  I had the homemade lentil soup with brie and cranberry sandwich. Very tasty.  The cafe is light and airy and well appointed.  Thoroughly recommend

Wonderful service with staff that went out of their way to look after us and our dogs where we were all able to sit outside. We had great pies, cakes and pasties and the dogs got their own bowls! Couldn’t ask for a better spot for a bite and a sit. It’s blooming good value for money too which is nice in these times. Highly recommend and a great find on our trip up to the borders

Lovely little cafe in the middle of a very quiet lovely village. The food was nice and very reasonably priced. It was very busy and they still got everything correct. The sausages wasn't right nice and had a very strange texture but other than that it was very nice and would recommend if you are traveling up that way. It is literally so quiet in this area and just a few shops and a butchers.

Visited The Olive Tree on a motorcycle trip into the Scottish Borders today. Very warmly welcomed and well looked after by all the staff. Had an all day breakfast, including haggis and tattie scone, which quite frankly are one of the biggest pulls for a trip over the border. Every element on that plate was delicious and made me smile. Coffee was great too. I didn't have one but their choice of cakes and other treats looked absolutely delicious. I'll be coming back again some time.  Thank you all very much!

Only place to go if in the area. Had the Pea + Stilton soup and bread roll all made in house. Fantastic cakes too again , home-made. Staff are always happy to help in anyway they can. Top spot.

Such a fantastic little cafe, great food, fab cakes and lovely staff.  Perfect end to a days cycling in the forest.

Lovely selection of food, tasted great and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and the cakes and jams will be enjoyed when we get home!
