I came to Wetherspoons today in the hopes that I would find some salvation because I had the day from HELL. Of course, I decided to drown my sorrows in strawberry pots. My first bowl was brought to me by a lovely young man. Positive experience. 6 halves of strawberry - a reasonable 10 pence per half, as I had spent 60 pence on this experience. After finishing these delightful fruits, I decided I required another. When the next pot came, I was appalled to see that the contents of the pot had in fact decreased to 5 halves of strawberry - of course, making my strawberries approximately 12 pence each. An unacceptable increase. Deciding that I would give the institution a chance to redeem themselves, I ordered one final pot of strawberries. You will not believe what I beheld. FOUR pieces of strawberries. Pieces, I hear you ask? Not halves? No. Not halves. I beheld 4 QUARTERS of strawberry. 15 pence per QUARTER - 30 pence per half - is an increase of 300% since my first pot an hour prior. Unacceptable. Sort it out, Wetherspoons. Safe to say, I will be taking my strawberry needs elsewhere in the future.nnUPDATE- I ordered another. THREE STRAWBERRIES.
Toilets, don't even have to go passed the bar, just a quick turn to your left, obligatory stairs that take you to a corridor, then the classic nook. Spot on albeit a bit hidden.nnSpoons food as standard, although the bacon's 9 times out of 10 has just kissed the grill, usually leave it, also can't be arsed to make a deal, it's a £3 brekky and everything else is usually sound, and the eggs are always wildy perfect!nnStaff are lovely, all friendly, fast and always happy to help.nnJust get a wave of eyes off the 'locals' that's a bit unsettling every time without fail
This is where I come to hang out with friends when I'm in Evesham. It never disappoints. Food is good, drinks are cheap, and we always have a good time.
The lady with glasses was so helpful and freindly at the coffee machine, even though it was very busy near the bar. The food when served was delicious and hot. We had the all day brunch and it was cooked perfectly and no crimping on the chips like soon spoons do. The younger smaller lady with glasses brought our food and was also very pleasant. It's one of the best spoons I've been in. Food and staff were faultless.
Place is ok, but compare to other in different locations it’s only good enough for a beer in my opinion.
