A fantastic welcoming atmosphere and caring and helpful staff. The service is excellent, the food is superb and the attention to detail in caring for the beers and ales is first class. It's clear to see why this pub has won CAMERA awards and the Telegraph travel writers award for best pub in the county.
Never come away disappointed, the atmosphere and service offered is top drawer. The variety and standard of the food offered is superb and its supported by a unique array of beer and ales. It is clear why this pub is one of the staples of the Cotswolds and the wider country. Highly recommend to anyone passing by.
Everything good about this place. A free house with well kept beer that turns over well to keep it fresh, good pub grub presented well. Had the steak & blue cheese sandwich - lovely. Busy every time I’ve been there.
Lovely atmosphere. We had great weather and made the most if the outdoor area. Whilst not the cheapest sandwich pulled pork i have had, it wS very substantial and tasty. Dogs very welcome also.
This place is a simple country pub and we were so pleasantly surprised by how great the food was! I had ham, egg and chips and all of it was cooked to perfection and the ham with really tender. The burgers were juicy and couldn't fault them. Finally the chicken and stuffing sandwich was lightly toasted and the fillings were delicious. The service was also very quick. Overall couldn't fault it! We will absolutely be back when we come to visit the area soon.
