Long wait for food but we were outside and it was a nice day so not so bad. Kids breakfast was nice. Burger was nice. Sweet and sour chicken was ok but far too much onion and peppers in the sauce (considering it comes on a bed of lots of onions and peppers!). Tasted nice though. Didn't have time for dessert. My only gripe is that it appears the dishwasher here either needs replacing or servicing as everything seemed to have a residue on it. My cup had lipstick on it but the waitress changed it for me immediately. Staff friendly and helpful.

A group of 6 friends just visited for lunch and had a lovely time. We ordered from the Golden Years menu which is fantastic value at two courses for £4.99. We all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere as it was busy for a Monday lunchtime. The staff were friendly and the service was good. We were lucky that it was a lovely sunny day which made the most of the position overlooking the sea. We have just booked to come again.

Cheap food shows in service. Although staff are pleasant. Uncleared tables. Water on floor in toilets. Napkins and food under tables. Pay for what you'd expect.

Long wait for food, waiting staff (male) had a 'can't be asked' attitude. Food was poor, I now have an upset stomach!! Steak pie was hard on top and suspected to have been microwaved hmm, potato skins were like rock, brie wedges were shoved on plate with a little lettuce leaf- suck a joke!! Main meals were brought out as we were eating our starters, when telling waitress to allow us to finish we watched as they were put back on the side getting cold in clear view waiting for us to finish? Really? Complete joke but coming on here and seeing reviews well that says it all and local feedback was true after all. Your a disgraceful example of what should be a lovely experience on beautiful Lee on Solent. *Supposed manager/owner* please don't bother yourself in replying with the same message to every other person disappointed saying give you a chance to turn our experiences around- GET A GRIP AND SORT IT!!!!!!- SORT OF KITCHEN, CHEF, ATTITUDES- REFUND EXPECTED PLEASE

A few of us owning american and Australian iconic cars decided to meet at the old ship for breakfast. The pub has a nice size car park with beautiful views of Lee on Solent. The food was excellent and the coffee was not half bad too. I think well worth a visit guys
