Gorgeous afternoon tea at The Old School Tea Room for an intimate baby shower. Food, staff and the Tea Room atmosphere were brilliant and the team couldn't do enough to make our experience magical- they even took some pictures for us. Lovely window area has the perfect views for an afternoon tea and I can't wait to return.
Service a bit on the slow side, but I'll concede it was a busy Sunday. Dales cafes should kinda expect that though... Food not bad at all with a very good cheese scone a highlight. Maybe choose a quieter time to visit so you don't get quite as frustratedFood: 4/5
Popped in here as there were good reviews for cakes, and my friend and I had a craving for scones. The scone was tasty, although would have been nicer if hot. We did see another table have cream teas and they looked delicious!Food: 5/5

We had a heated booth outside which was novel and somewhat private.We had the ham and eggs which was really nice and filling.It poured down yet we were still dry and comfortable throughout.The only downside is that some of the pods outside are near the chicken hutch which can be a little off putting for some. Next time we are walking over that way we will call again.
Very tasty salads, thoroughly enjoyed, great to see healthy options. Sadly, the coffee is awful. It’s high acid/ bitter. May I suggest purchasing a full roasted bean? Makes such a difference.

Went for lunch on Sunday - the owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful as they were very busy as usual and we hadn't booked! Lovely food as always!
Gorgeous spot with a lovely garden and animals. Which makes up for the food and service, so so. A few items are very good: scone and cream. The jam, awful mayo/olives seem very mainstream which is a shame as Yorkshire has so much to offer direct from producers. The salmon was excellent but could come with a simple homemade sauce instead of industrial mayo. Not the best value for money but will contribute to nice memories of peaceful Yorkshire.
