What a great pub/restaurant. Dog friendly, with excellent food served in both the bar and restaurant . Only. 5 min walk from the nearby Pondfauld holiday lodges, where we stayed for the week. Very friendly locals too .
We were thrown out of the hotel on day 1 of our failed 2-day stay after we had complained at midnight about the live music party taking place right below our rooms. We were also denied our breakfast the next day. We had already paid for our 2-day stay including breakfast upon our arrival. Avoid this place if you want to get some sleep and are unwilling to lose your money in case you express your disappointment with the services provided. Absolutely shocking! To give you more context, the guests were classical musicians about to give a concert in a nearby venue 3 hours after we were removed from the hotel. The hotel showed no understanding of our situation either at midnight when we complained about the rumbling music or in the morning when we were about to have our breakfast and head for the venue. We will take legal action against the hotel and seek redress in court if necessary.
Cosy, friendly and great food. Public bar is dog friendly too which is a great bonus for our four legged friends
Stopped in for dinner and was not disappointed. Food was lovely and there was a good menu choice and lovely specials. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back.Service: 5/5
Visited the restaurant for an evening meal and definitely left us with a mixed feeling. First let’s deal with the elephant in the room, the decor. Looking at earlier reviews the restaurant had a bright modern feel but sadly they have decided to change. The theme which is now less bright and modern, more dark and gloomy. Deep navy walls with terracotta ceiling along with hideous fake ivy. Decor aside the dining room is clean and we were politely greeted on arrival. Service was great throughout, polite, prompt and couldn’t be better. We just went for main courses and skipped desert. I had fish and chips with the fish being beautifully cooked and tasted amazing. The chips felt like they had been sitting for a while but were ok. My husband had the Mac& cheese which was ok although sauce was quite watery but he said it tasted nice. Meal was all ok with our score more based on good service and ok food.
Came in for tea during the last day of our holiday heading home to Dundee. All four of our meals were lovely. The waiting staff were helpful and pleasant.Service: 4/5
expensive but entirely worth the price. a one night stay for two + dinner with drinks came to £140. great food and staff, amazing vegan and gluten free options. comfy rooms though the hot water came and went - i suspect that's because they had just reopened. comes with soft towels and really nice soaps too! loved feeling so pampered.
Stayed overnight and decided to eat there too... And it was absolutely fantastic! The rooms are simple but have all you need for a nice overnight stay. The restaurant was excellent and the menu was great, it has changed from the one that is online, see photos attached. Portion sizes are good and we didn't leave hungry. The chef was friendly and very good at his job. Service was speedy and efficient. Don't hesitate to come here for a meal and even stay the night.
Spotless, friendly and cosy place in Blairgowrie Staff are all nice and welcoming.. Food is excellent, we had our evening meal and breakfast there, WOW! you won’t be disappointed Room was lovely, large double bed, bedding was so soft n smelt beautiful, 3 pillows each en suite with bath & shower, thoughtful toiletries supplied.
