I'm giving it one star purely because of how the manager/owner (not sure what he is) treats his staff. We had a lovely lady serve us, she took a genuine interest in our child, she was so friendly and chatty. Five stars for you kind lady! The owner/manager couldn't have been more opposite. I didn't see him smile the entire time I was there, he spoke to her and other staff members in such a disrespectful manner. He told off another member of staff for not asking us if we would like anything else, when we had already asked for the bill. He said so loud the whole downstairs restaurant could hear. It's a shame really. He has a lovely building, fantastic staff, I imagine a very successful business because it was so busy the whole time. So I'm unsure why he felt the need to be so rude. The fact of the matter is, we were there half an hour and my husband, who's not the most observant person, commented on his demeanour and attitude. Maybe if you're reading this owner/manager you might consider being kinder to your staff. A little kindness goes a long way!

Quaint. Do amazing scrambled eggs,muffin n bacon. Prices good. Tea n coffee excellent.

A lovely little tea room in a very historic building, but very small so can imagine it being difficult to get a table at peak times. A slight niggle in the wait for food.

Lovely old fashioned tea shop serves a good range of breakfasts and lunch meals as well as cakes and snacks

Always fantastic food and service. Today was homemade cauliflower and cheddar soup. Scrumptious ☺
