I used to love going here around 5 years ago but not really unimpressed. The food is nothing like it was and the only reason I visit is to use the fish shop. UPDATE Have revisited after 6 months and have changed star to one. The Oaks has become even more of a complete mess. There is nothing in the shop, the cafe is nothing to what it used to be and the whole site is a complete mess. How the place can be even classed as a garden centre is a joke, you can get more gardening bits in a local supermarket. I feel the best solution is for the whole place to be ripped down!!

Love this cafe. I have been here dozens of times sometimes with my partner and often with my lovely bike club. The staff can't do enough to be helpful which is wonderful and they happily allow us to bring our bikes through with us and then we come in for tea and cake. On one very memorable occasion Richard the cafe manager set up a birthday party for me for my 50th birthday for 50 bike riders! My best birthday party ever by far. He set aside an area with 4 large cakes and limitless tea and coffee and we all helped ourselves. As the huge cakes turned to crumbs the wonderful staff seamlessly produced more and more cake! Really, really kind and loving people. Its a pleasure to visit and to know them. And ... they do fabulous cake!

Little gem of a cafe. We only had tea and coffee but served by lovely lady. Entrance to Oaks needs sign to tell you there is a cafe on site. We nearly missed it.

The service is so slow! Staff over attentive whilst getting little done. Soup was cold, served with sliced bread. It took about 40 mins to arrive, and had obviously been reheated in a microwave. The problem was that they forgot to turn it on! The place is run down and shabby.

So much up here to see.Lovely atmosphere and fab breakfasts . I own the salon here and we use the cafe and ship regularly plus do our customers. Well worth a look with new businesses opening up all the time.
