We went here for an evening meal on the recommendation of my brother. What an excellent place for a meal, friendly staff, welcoming and lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. The tapas selection was very good with lots of options available. The quality of the food was excellent, it also came out at a decent speed meaning we were never short of food on the table. We also had desserts which were also extremely good, in fact I would say the desserts were even better than the mains; but it was all excellent. Based on this experience I would totally recommend a visit. If in the area I would certainly go again!
Outstanding experience, well done The Oak Room. Having been away for 10 days this was the best meal of all. Simply stunning. Great choice, great service, great wine choice, great prices!! A simple menu that covers all the bases. A brilliant meal to finish our trip away. Thank you for fitting us in at short notice.
Fantastic tapas restaurant in lynton. The chorizo was delicious and so was the pork cheeks. Slightly disappointed that there wasn’t any cheese or iberico ham as a starter but that’s a personal choice. Meatballs were tasty. The couple of negatives which stopped this place getting 5 stars, the patatas bravas oddly came with a white sauce which is odd and not tomato sauce and the lamb which came as two chunks just didn’t work for me personally. Overall though, very, very good, great staff and service and great choice on wines, the reserva Rioja was sublime
Tapas made a great change from the normal British cafe menu and over priced sandwiches, burgers, that are normally on offer. . Recommend a visit. Enjoy!
We have just had a superb meal. Excellent service, amazing choices including plenty of vegetarian options, and to top it off, the best chocolate torte ever... served with orange sorbet which took it to the next level! Vegetarian options: A good range of delicious veggie options - our daughter was very pleased! Kid-friendliness: Our daughter was made welcome. Parking: Easy parking on the road mid February so not exactly peak tourist season
Great place friendly warm staff and very good food. Not a fan of Tapas myself doesn't work for me in the uk once you add it up across the various dishes it makes it expensive. If your were in Spain you would only pay a few Euros per dish. I think we paid £8 for two meat balls, very tasty and I imagine home made. being critical if each dish was a bit cheaper could eat there more often. Still very enjoyable and would recommend for quality and atmosphere just not a huge tapas fan for the reasons stated.
When you enjoy tapas as much as I do, I just had to stop and eat even though I wasn’t that hungry… patatas bravas & aoli, tomato salad, lemon and garlic prawns and a chorizo later followed by a large glass of Rioja…. Okay okay I stayed a lot longer than expected, a warm brownie with cream and a cafe con Leche to finish, just Perfect. I’ll be back even though it’s 170 miles away from home… if you’re around and want something different, you’ve gotta just gotta
My advice is to call and book ahead. We did just that for an evening meal last Friday. Tje service was amazing and the staff were very attentive. Plenty of hand sanitizer around and staff were wearing face coverings. Now the food. We went for Tapas and the suggestion was 5 or 6 dishes between 2, we had 20 between the four of us and this was more than enough. All of it was amazing. When in Linton we will be back.
Visited the Oak Room to celebrate our anniversary. Nice atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff. Fabulous and highly recommended.
Our 2nd visit and it was even better. The tapas dishes tasty and the staff so good. Kevin looked after us again and that was the best part. The ambience nice in the late evening. Must book up and no regrets. Well done The Team.
