We went here recently for a birthday meal, the carvery was bland at best, the tempura prawns were served on a bed of bad lettuce as shown.nService was awful. We waited over an hour and a half for mains. The table wasn't cleared for ages. We actually called a waitress to know if they had forgotten about us. Lasagne was like tomato soup.nI would have been a lot more forgiving had the restaurant been busy, but it wasn't. Tables that came in long after us were gone long before our mains were on the table. 4 hours for starters and mains. Grandchild waited 45 minutes for one scoop of ice cream.nWill never go again. Very disappointing.
Food was fab.nService was amazing. Quick and nothing too much hassle.nOur waitress so lovely.nShe couldn’t do enough for us. She was friendly, chatty and even though rushed off her feet always came with a smile thank you Highly recommend
Manager was hugely professional and such a hard worker. Staff friendly and accommodating when the app charged me twice. Food tasty and plentiful. Would absolutely come again.
Lovely carvery with quality ingredients and the bubble waffles made by Callum were the best!! Never had one before. Had the salted caramel, it was so gorgeous. Absolutely huge, amazing value for money. Will definitely be stopping by in the future for more desserts as I could hardly choose one they all sounded and looked so good.
Unfortunately, our family lunch at The Newbridge Stonehouse was far from satisfactory. We decided to try the carvery, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. The food was bland and completely lacking in flavor. The meat, potatoes, vegetables, and even the gravy were all devoid of seasoning, and there wasn’t even a hint of salt. Of course, you can add salt at the table, but anyone who knows cooking understands that seasoning after the fact doesn’t truly enhance the taste.nnThe only highlight of our meal was the chicken strips we ordered as an additional dish. They were tasty, well-seasoned, and juicy – definitely the only item worth its price. Everything else? Unfortunately, it felt like it was made for people without a sense of taste.nnAt this point, I cannot recommend this place, and I certainly won’t be returning. There are several better pubs in the area offering similar menus, but prepared by chefs with a sense of flavor and skill. If you value good food, keep looking elsewhere.
