My second experience of this surgery after moving local. I, unfortunately didn't take the name of the lady on reception but she went above and beyond. Very efficient and proactive in my situation. Explained everything clearly. Dr's reception often get a bad press but this lady was brilliant. Hoping the rest of my experience at the surgery follows .
Patients beware .If you suffer with mental health of have hidden disabilities then this surgery will discriminate you .some doctors in this practice ie Dr chaudry is very discriminating and judgemental to patients.very rude Dr whom should be ashamed of himself .And nurse Sam another one who discriminates and always moody and very unprofessional and rude .you feel so unwelcome with these 2 professional s.You feel so much worse off after seeing these mentioned they make you feel so low in yourself .nA couple of secretaries have been seen and heard whispering about patients which is also rude making them feel discriminated against and certain secretaries need to think before they speak as it is rude to whisper and talk about patients whom you do not know whilst the patient is yards away from them.nMost secretaries are nice and helpful but 2 are bullies and unprofessional talking about patients right in front of them thinking they cannot hear which is disgusting.nThe best Dr in this surgery is Dr grunsell she is very helpful and nice but the ones mentioned are in need of some seriousntraining as they are so uncompassionate towards the needs of patients and leave you feeling worse in yourself .Dr chaudry and nurse Sam will never be seen by us again and this surgery had been reported .have to find another practice after just a few months of been here absolutely appalling.
A well-organised, caring practice. All staff are well-experienced and really good: including reception staff, admin staff, nurses and GP’s; Dr Grunsell in particular is an excellent Doctor in my opinion.
The best GP practice I’ve been registered to. They provide a high level of service and have always gone above and beyond for me. Never had an issue getting an appointment when needed, really clean environment and the staff are really friendly and helpful
I joined this practice recently after moving to the area and initially registering with another doctors which I found to be somewhat unprofessional and the surgery itself was always unkempt and everytime I went there I was often shocked by other patients who seemed to be unhygienic and severely mentally impaired. I know that doesnt sound fair, but they actually have a sign up in there to tell people not to leave soiled nappies in the waiting room! So that kinda gives you an idea of the types of people that go there. Anyway, I digress, since registering at New street surgery I have felt a great sense of relief, because I feel that the doctors here are actually listening to my problems and are definitely more qualified and do not make assumptions based on a 2 to 5 minute chat. On my first visit I was given a full health check, something I have wanted for several months now, the results came back quick and I was reassured of things that I have had severe anxiety over for months because I couldn't seem to get some simple tests before! With regard to mental health in this country, I am sure we all know how abysmal it is and that the help is simply not there. I was referred to another service for help way back at the start of April with my previous GP and am still waiting, however the nurse practitioner at New street referred me to the single point of access straight away just to help me deal with things whilst I am waiting for this referral and the spa got back to me within a week! Of course these people like to go through names on a list, ring clients and if they can't speak to you the first time then they are very quick to discharge you back to your Gp which I think is what's happening now as they have failed to return my calls and tried to dismiss me on the phone because I was busy and in a public place and could not speak so they were already trying to discharge ecause of that! Like I said the mental health services in this country are diabolical but with this new gP practice I am feeling much less anxious about something being done and am hopeful that they will actually listen and help me where so many other practices have simply failed to listen.
