Myself and my family had a poor experience here on 23 rd dec. there were 7 of us, we were shown to our table by a member of staff without a smile. Served 7 main meals that were below the standard we expected for such an establishment . My veg served with the fish pie were dry and bland , definitely not fresh nor garnished with butter as advertised. The fish pie was watery.nThe fish and chips were dissapointing , the fish very thin almost like it was filleted in half . The Xmas dinner had 50% of the veg missing but was brought out when we asked for it.nNo one asked if we were happy with the food on collection of the plates , I think because they knew we weren’t satisfied.nAll in all an expensive meal that was totally unsatisfying.
Busy, busy, busy and full of atmosphere. I had to queue to get in the door! It was well worth it and we returned back the following day. The menu is superb, food quickly served and tasted fantastic. Recommend the pepper staeaks.
Me and my husband recently held our wedding party at The New Inn and went for the Tipi package. Jo was very friendly from the beginning and always went the extra mile to meet our requirements. There was clear communication in the lead up to our wedding and she was so helpful.nnWe were blown away by how perfect the tipi was on the day. It was decorated beautifully and the bar staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and our guests. All of our guests have made comments on how great the food was and the portion sizes were very generous. To top it off we stayed in the bridal suite which was so lovely and clean. Overall The New Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding and we can’t thank Jo and the staff enough.nnZoë & Rob
Went for a family meal this evening and it was the first time I've been since it has changed hands and re opened. The staff are lovely incredibly friendly and the lady whom I assume was the manageress was incredibly personable and even gave us a heads up it had started to rain as we were leaving. The food was good with generous portions. It is a tiny bit less fancy then the when it was the White Hart but better value and less faffing around then you used to have to do with the separate bowls. It is however no less tasty and on Sunday a three course meal for £20 is good value. We only went for 2 course and I honestly don't think I could of managed a third. Beer is a little pricey but not obscene. The pub appears to be dog friendly which is always nice and it's these little things that make a more welcoming atmosphere. I will be going back. If I were to be critical of anything I don't like sauces in little sachets but that is a personal thing and has no bearing on the venue. Worth 5 stars for value and portion size and staff
We didn’t know the area and traveled from Warwick so wanted somewhere close to the M1 to stop on our way home. We tried the website but it didn’t exist so we’re a little dubious as to what we’d find but I’m happy to say that on a Sunday they served food all day a lot in the area stopped at 3pm and we all enjoyed our meals. We ordered the roast dinners and burgers including vegan burger. There were two vegan options on the menu, the vegan burger and a nut roast. It would have been nice to have had a couple more options but what we ordered was nice. I’m more of a cosy country pub/real fire type person and whilst this was not that, it was very nice. Modern, stylish and friendly, reasonably priced and the food well presented
