This is an absolute gem of a pub. The food and service was top notch. I ordered the pork belly which was sensational and my husband had the steak which was cooked to his liking and had onion rings that were to DIE for. I was pleased to see that the children's menu was not the usual beige fare rather child sized portions of the adult menu which my son loved because it made him feel like a grown up. We will certainly be back because I need to try the desserts. Well worth a trip but please book in advance because Monday was busy another sure sign of an amazing venue
Superb good, great service and top value for money. First time visitors, came in for family meal at lunchtime, burgers, fish and chips, both spot on and great value for £10. Some great items around on the walls and a brilliant collection of vintage football programmes!!
Lovely friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Enjoyed a huge portion of river mussels! Not sure why they’re served with chips, although they were lovely. Bread would have been better to soak up the creamy garlic sauce. Gets rather busy so book ahead if possible. Quick service, food was lovely and hot. Will be back for the belly pork on our next visit
Really pleasant mid-week lunch with plenty of choice including vegetarian and vegan dishes. All straightforward and honest and at a reasonable price. 4 adults, 3 young children, drinks and one course £65.00. Very helpful staff. Our visit was October so not busy. Parking might be an issue in a busy season. Food was hot, plentiful and pleasant.
Yea great pub, huge rear garden parking is a bit of a pain but worth it,really lovely staff.
Luckily for me this is my local Lovely Cornish inn with a huge beer garden which has a covered area for when you want some shade. Popular in the summer and can get quite busy Has plenty of entertainment throughout summer with some really good bands. The restaurant side is very nice particularly the conservatory, the food is always very nice with a good selection with regular specials and very reasonable prices. Sunday lunch is particularly good. Great value for your money too. The landlords brothers are nice blokes and the staff are always polite and friendly. Very lucky to have this just down the road.
Had a Sunday lunch here which was excellent, really good food, cooked well, plenty of it and great value for money. The pub is in a lovely location with several different dining areas and looks great for a summer-time drink in the garden too. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.
Lovely staff and nice food. Made us feel really welcome despite coming to the place quite late in the evening looking to eat. Had a few drinks after our meal in the very friendly bar.
Not really sure telling a parent to "get them out of my bar!" is the correct way to mention to someone you don't want kids in "Your bar!".......Serving staff seem great but the guy behing the bar is a big letdown on this lovely village. I'm just hoping he is a poor member of staff and not the landlord. But judging by the look of him and the fact he looked like he'd he had consumed a few, I'm guessing he's the landlord
Lovely place. Very friendly staff. The beef stew might not look the best but tastes great.
