Sunday roast chicken is the best. Not only the portion is better than other pubs and restaurants but the taste is also good. Specially the vegetables in cheesey white sauce. The place is well maintained. Service upstairs takes a while but it's worth the wait.

Our usual method involves a quick online search, browsing through reviews. Although it didn't possess the quintessential countryside charm being in a town centre location, it turned out to be a great experience. The quantity and quality of the food surpassed our expectations and ranked among the best we've had in quite some time.nnWhile the menu may have been limited to Sunday roast options, the portion sizes offered great value for money, exceeding what we initially anticipated. The ambiance and atmosphere of the pub were a bit underwhelming, but given the exceptional kitchen, staff, and delectable food we enjoyed, adding some more décor and additional interior elements would truly elevate this place.nnAll in all, we were thrilled to have discovered this gem and are already planning to return on a day when the menu offers a wider variety, perhaps during the week or on a Saturday. This place has a great future and we would love to see it succeed!
Me and my mum had hunters chicken..when it arrived..we couldn't cut into the bacon on top of chicken..also chicken was tough...but the young lady who was serving was so nice and polite..she didn't charge us for our 2 dinners..we did have dessert which was OK.
We booked for a Sunday roast. When we arrived most of the tables in bar area were busy, but we were seat and our drink order was taken quickly. I had the beautifully cooked lamb shank, my wife had the roast beef and my daughter had the chicken. None of us were disappointed. Well definitely be back.
Great pub with lovely food and fair on prices. The staff are what keep you going back as well, all of them are really friendly and personable. We have been a few times, the odd occasion at lunch time and also when the Euro’s were on, the atmosphere was buzzing and even though it was packed you didn't have to wait for more than a minute or two for drinks. Ethan is one staff member we know by name he's always very friendly and chatty, he's a top barman too! Highly recommended pub with gastro pub type menu.
