Charming little cafe, old school jazz cafe vibes. We got poached eggs on toast, a ham and cheese toastie they were okay, very affordable. We drank an iced latte and chai latte which I enjoyed the chai latte. Might return for the quaint jazzy, sunny afternoon by the river atmosphere
I found this place while in Dublin on a shopping trip before christmas 2022. At first, I said this place is my type of place to sit and have a coffee, it had real character, nice building, lovely design inside very cosy little place to hang out right beside the quays on the Liffey. I went in and there was a sign saying card payment only, I immediately said that is a bummer as I only have cash. We had a little chat about how I felt about this and the guy took my order which was very nice of him, I ordered a lovely slice of peanut and toffee cake and a coffee and off to take my seat down the back in a nice cosy space, looking out at passers by, the coffee and cake was brought to my table, and the cake was absolutely delicious and I sat there for awhile, I did mention to the server that the cake was lovely, I asked was it homemade, he said nope it was frozen. Either way, I snapped a few pictures of the interior and was happy on my way. Great location, great cake even if not homemade, and I think, I paid approx €6.50 for coffee and cake in all.
Walked a good ways to try out this café and work for a bit this afternoon... To find out they don't allow laptops?? I was really disappointed. Giant generic sign on their door to welcome you in with "no laptops allowed." I understand their store is small, and they probably want to make sure they're generating income, but there's other ways... One purchase per hour, 2 hour limit, etc. Or if it's a branding decision, the sign should reflect that. Otherwise it just seems you don't like people who work or students.
Great character, savage people-watching however it doesn't have the linger factor. It really exudes an energy of "one drink and we'll head" if you're talking about alcohol. Maybe it's nice for coffee. I like their controversial "no laptops welcome" policy. This place is very small.Food: 4/5
First time stepping into this gem of a cafe the other week. I was greeted with a smile and it felt like I was walking in the front door of my own home. The two woman behind the register where lovely saidbh and I can't remember the other girls name I think she was Brazilian? But they where brilliant. The flat white and cinomon roll where phenomenal. Will definitely be back here again!
I randomly found this place while waiting for a friend. I think the place is charming, you have a nice view of people passing by the street, the road, and the river when you sit on the high chairs… they also have books you can freely read… I think they might have music gigs here? But at the time I was there, there wasn’t. Staffs are friendly, price is okay so I’ve got nothing to complain
It is a very unique place where you can sit and enjoy a good coffee or a excellent Galician beer!Food: 4/5
Excellent Cafe. Good music. It takes them a while to prepare the order but it's worth it. I went 2 days in a row because of how good everything was. 10/10 totally recommended.
Always packed! Coffee wasn’t great but they have a nice selection of teas. Staff was lovely too
Visited early one morning, I think they had not long opened. The staff seemed like they had been out all night. The food was just about adequate. The coffee was not great. The atmosphere was non-existent. I'm not sure why the cafe has music the name. It was like a crypt inside. Faded, torn upholstery, with lots of clutter that just looked more messy than homely.
