I enjoyed a really nice Christmas meal here. Chicken liver starter and turkey /ham main were excellent. Great service, value and felt COVID safe despite the grim headline on the Herald.
Food is amazing, lovely staff and fairly priced. We love it and go almost every other week to get carvery. The pub is huge and there's always a place to sit and it also has a interesting history.
Decent carvery lunch but roast beef was a bit dry. They have a senior citizens special half portion with dessert that keeps the place busy on weekday afternoons.
The staff Is very polite and helpful, the food is good and well priced, nothing fancy but no regrets for stopping in without a clue what we were going to have. We didn't know it was a carvery menu that day. Huge portion and very good gravy
This is our local pub. We went for a quick bite at the bar. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated quickly and service was very good and friendly. The food was yummy and you can buy a carafe of wine which is handy if you don't want a full bottle. Would definitely recommend it!
I visited this pub last week and I was very impressed. The food was excellent, great price and to top it off the floor staff were brilliant. Thank you Megan and Fidelma for your attention to detail and warm welcome. I would highly recommend the place for food and drinks.
The staff were friendly and the food portions were good. The scampi were much bigger than most places and costs were on the high side of reasonable. The venue itself needs some investment. It's old, worn and more than a little dank. It was busy enough so people clearly still flock to it but it ddf needs a revamp.
Nice food & pint . Place is very dated and could well do with modernisation! Both toilets in bits gents filthy painted tiles with paint peeling off. Staff very good at there job
The emphasis here is very much on the food. More a Restaurant than a Pub. From the moment you open the Lounge door there is a very pervasive smell of food. There is a nice little Bar to the front in which you can enjoy a drink. Tom
Lovely pub but a little dark on the inside especially for the elderly. Food really good and very reasonable priced. Excellent staff and very friendly.
