Visited two weeks ago and the tiny space was packed. The food was delish and the coffee was good too. The toilet has a bidet - it's the first time I saw one in the UK.Food: 5/5
Glad to report this aesthetically pleasing shop lives up to its hype. The iced coffee was actually delicious perfect for a rare 30 degree celcius weather and the cardamom bun, just amazing. Very lovely staff.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere is good. But the food is very expensive and not worth. The egg sandwich is just taken from the closet, looks not in a good condition and just a normal taste. The cinnamon bun is nearly 5pounds, and it’s the smallest cinnamon bun I have even had! And it just tastes like others which is much cheaper.Food: 1/5
Went there with my friend for a coffee and it's the cutest and coziest place ever. There are many sitting spaces and the staff is extremely friendly. I had an Americano and that certainly woke me up. The aesthetics of this place really impressed me. I will be back here soon.Food: 5/5
I visited The Monocle Cafe today and had a pleasant experience. It's located on a very cute street. The space is tiny, but the staff is nice and the service is quick. The coffee was good. Overall, a charming little spot for a coffee break.
A petite cafe serving Japanese-inspired cakes, light eats and coffee. I think the queues/waiting area could've been better managed because it was confusing as to who was waiting to order vs waiting for their order. We ordered a matcha cake and goma udon. The cake was phenomenal! So richly intense with matcha flavour. The goma udon was actually a salad - very refreshing with a delicate sesame flavour.
Don’t get confused like I did when I went onto the road this cafe is in and happened to have accidentally went into their shop. There is a cafe and a both located on the same street a few doors away from each other. Shop was interesting. My matcha white chocolate cake was indulgent with the chocolate shaving, I must say. My latte was decent as well, though quite pricy. The have ground and basement seating as well as some outside. Tends to get busy, but it doesn’t disturb the peaceful atmosphere it brings.
The Monocle Cafe is a beautifully decorated cosy cafe, that is quite busy, specially on weekends. It was difficult to find a seat at first. There is a ground floor area, that has high chairs, a small room with some couches and a downstairs area. I got a latte and a cardamom bun, both were really good quality both together £7.75. However, because of the business I had to wait about 10-12 mins for my latte to arrive.
I recently visited Monocle café and tried their matcha with almond milk. The experience was delightful from start to finish. The café's sleek and stylish atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for enjoying this unique beverage. The matcha with almond milk was exceptional. The matcha was vibrant and smooth, with a rich, earthy flavor that was perfectly balanced by the creamy almond milk. It was a refreshing and satisfying drink, offering a delightful alternative to traditional coffee options. The baristas at Monocle café were friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring that my matcha was prepared to perfection. Their attention to detail and dedication to quality were evident in every sip. Overall, I highly recommend trying the matcha with almond milk at Monocle café. Whether you're a matcha enthusiast or simply looking to explore new flavors, this beverage is sure to impress with its exceptional taste and quality.
Cute cafe! They have indoor and outdoor seating and the cafe has a really cozy vibe! We came here to study but they don’t have Wi-Fi. The tea came in paper cups which was kind of disappointing. The size of the cup and the tea bag didn’t match - the cup was too small and the tea bag too big. So the tea got super strong in a really short time Would come back to sit outside and try the coffee since it’s really nice
