Lovely destination for a drive out for breakfast. Choose from a full English or the veggie version or a selection of pastries. The service was good and the staff friendly. The side of the building opens up into a deck overing looking the remnants of an old moat, which makes for a lovely seating area on a sunny day. They serve an evening menu too. Also available for hire for private events, wedding receptions etc. Afternoon teas available.
Great unique place in the countryside. Lovely interior, some good recycling going on- I like the use of the gin bottles! nice outside seating area... local ingredients. different menu. Food was excellent. My only negative comment was that I thought £10 was a bit steep for a large bowl of soup and some bread; although quality was good. Loved the old tractors by the car park. Also you can walk into the field opposite to look at the 'moat'.
We have had a few take away meals from here, some interesting food, all good. They have changed their focus so not often open to the public, therefore we had to take the opportunity for afternoon tea. As expected, all was good and we enjoyed the environment.
Wonderful food in a fantastic setting. This really is a beautiful place for a relaxing afternoon meal.

Our Golden wedding anniversary lunch was superbly cooked and well presented. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and we were not rushed. We would highly recommend, thank you Moat Shed.
Superb food and location. Very friendly staff and a great choice of freshly prepared products. The location is stunning in the middle of nowhere overlooking the old moat. A lovely veranda allows outdoor seating. Easy to get to on your bike if local. Lots of car parking if needed. Excellent.
We went because they have a vegan menu and a sound reputation. Found the place welcoming, clean with tasteful decor. We ordered the Lentil Cottage Pie with seasonal veg. When it eventually arrived there was a good sized portion which was delicious. After an age the waitress took our plates and offered desert from the Vegan Desert Menu. We placed an order for cheesecake. It took ages for the waitress to return and let us know it was unavailable. Further each item on the menu contained vegan ice cream and they had none. We paid the bill and left. We had a mixed experience of The Moat Shed, lovely environment, delicious food with good portions but ridiculously slow service and none of the desert options on their vegan menu available.
Great staff. Great food and great private party. Lovely setti g with plenty of parking.
