Had a really nice pub lunch here yesterday with my wife, brother and mum. The menu was typical pub grub, but with some unusual touches. The food was tasty, well-presented and the services was excellent. The prices were middling and all in all felt good value for a nice couple of hours. All served in a nice clean and welcoming environment. Good parking to the rear and probably no need to book.

When they refurbished the mill stream into a chicken and grill we were a little unsure of the new decor, however a couple of years on and we can say the place really is pleasant and enjoyable. They have a great team of friendly staff and the food is spot on. In our opinion the only thing that is missing is a small children’s play area for the summer months.

Always excellent food with great service by friendly staff. The meals are great value, king sized fish possibly a bit too much. They always have a few specials too so keep an eye out. Quiz night used to be Wednesday, not sure if it is still on. Would recommend this for all occasions and is a great setting in the summer outside.

A thoroughly enjoyable meal (in all aspects) including the great service from Darryll. Simple to book online (confirming text coming through for a table booked on a Sunday afternoon with only one hours notice). The simple things made the meal standout, with the superbly delicious freshly made side salad and coleslaw being exceptional. The Sea Bass was delicate and light and the Nut Roast was crunchy and soft at the same time. All in all superb.

Had an amazing visit with our family. Coral out waitress was outstanding. So friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious food and service. Will definitely return on our next visit to Hitchin. Thank you
