The Miller Arms
"A cosy and welcoming pub, the way it should be The Miller Arms is one of the oldest building in the village of Singleton. It was originally called the Hornby Arms and dates back to the 1700s. It was renamed when Thomas Miller bought the Singleton Estate and built much of the village that we know you’ll love just as much as we do.The Miller Arms retains many of its original features and we’re proud to still be the heart of a thriving warm and friendly community. Believe it or not we’ve even got a wishing well that’s why we have the Two Pence pieces from the 1700’s in our logo. We’ve worked hard though to blend history with our passion for high quality food and drink."

This is a nice pub local to the area. You can tell by the relaxed atmosphere this place is attended by locals. They had a good selection of drinks, largest, beers and a good choice of food menu options. I did enjoy the food - the highlight being the home made chips with rock salt. I wasn’t too sure about the halloumi burger, the bun was slightly over toasted and the toppings onions, lettuce, tomato had obviously been pulled straight out of a cold fridge - I’m not a huge fan of ‘hot toppings’ and very ‘cold toppings’ mixed in this way plus the bordering burned bread. Staff did ask about our thoughts mid way through the meal and offered to replace the burned burger. Staff were kind and friendly. The facilities were clean and well maintained. I would recommend this place and would visit again - although wouldn’t have another burger…
Had a really nice meal here tonight with the family. The food was lovely, portions were big and all the staff were attentive and friendly. It's dog friendly in the bar area, which is a massive bonus, and the kids meals/desserts were really good too. Having visited The Millers Arms on and off for the past 15+ years, through various landlords, I think the current management have it well set out. It was busy tonight, but not too busy, so it had a good atmosphere but wasn't crowded. Overall, A+ from us this evening.
Picturesque views beautiful location. Very easy to find and a pleasant drive down country roads. Lots of outside & indoor seating. Staff were happy and efficient. Signs on tables to indicate they have been cleaned and ready to use. •Cask ale 61 Deep was a great choice as we normally buy the bottles in supermarkets, tastes much nicer from a pump. •Great menu choice, plenty to choose from. Portion sizes are very generous which isn’t a bad thing you get your money’s worth! Millers Double Cheese Burger - well presented and piping hot. I’m ashamed to say I couldn’t finish it all. Our Famous Club Sandwich - Yummy and refreshing. Enjoyed every bite. The coleslaw on the side was delicious. Thank you.
Lovely place, friendly staff. Delicious food served hot, ample portions, apologies we couldn't finish. Really enjoyed, lovely setting and dog welcome too. Would definitely visit again. Thank you!
Lovely country pub in a pretty location. Had a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings. It was quite quiet mid week, but the management are new and I'm sure they'll do well as they have the right attitude. They only had one option on the menu for vegetarians, but they went out of their way to go off menu and make my friend her own individual homemade cheese pie. My friend, being vegetarian, is an expert on cheese and onion pies and she said it was by far the nicest she'd had. moving forward, they said they are adding to their veggie menu Will be going again.
Stumbled across this beauty by pure chance. Staff were lovely, food was really good and great value! I was completely defeated by the burger, need some more drinks options tho lol bring back the god father
Changed hands since we last went in, unfortunately not for the best, food ok to good but expensive, menu choice very poor, a few items from a limited menu not available. Young girl waitress was really nice and helpful, however overall service and wait was below expectations. Finally you need to turn some lights on inside and out and put a coin in the heater, to conclude we won't be coming back, sorry for negative review but just being honest
So we thought we would give this place a go for our first Christmas day dinner and I have to say that all of our friends 12 had a fantastic day we especially liked that you had your table for the full day and with having no othe r arrangements we could relax and enjoy it also the break between courses was a plus as we didn’t feel rushed. On arrival there was a warm welcome from the staff who we thought did a magnificent job over the course of the day and to have leaned at the end of it they were two staff sort speaks volumes of the dedication and commitment put in by all.
We went for Christmas lunch yesterday... I've got to say we were very apprehensive about going after the bad reviews last year but thought as it was under new management etc we would give it a go. Unfortunately it took a long time to get served, we arrived at 1pm but did not get our starters until 2.30pm and it was gone 3.30pm before we got our mains. I appreciate the two waiters who were constantly on the go, working hard and had given up their Christmas day to work but I feel the fault is with the management as more staff were needed. We had to leave as we had arrangements with other family so did not get the dessert. For over £400 we expected better, apart from crackers on the table there was no other table decorations and no music. We won't be returning but just want to end by thanking the waiters for doing their best under the poor management organisation.
Very welcoming, dog friendly, traditional country pub. The food prices are a little on the high side £20 for lamb Henry and £15 for chilli con carne but the food was hot and tasty and we enjoyed it. The place was dead on a Saturday night, which were couldn't understand but this place is recommended
